If you're looking for a restaurant that serves up delicious Indian cuisine with a touch of sophistication, Elizabethan Tandoori House is the place to be. The restaurant has been a favorite in the community for years, and it's only gotten better since new owners took over. The new owners have brought a fresh perspective to the restaurant, and they have made significant improvements to the food quality and service. The menu has been updated with new dishes, and the traditional favorites have been elevated with new twists and improvements in flavor. The food is absolutely delicious, with a perfect blend of spices and ingredients that result in flavors that are bold, aromatic, and absolutely irresistible. The tandoori dishes are a particular standout, with perfectly grilled meats and vegetables that are tender and juicy. The service is also exceptional. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer suggestions and answer any questions you may have. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable dining experience. In terms of ambiance, the restaurant is warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated. The decor is a perfect blend of traditional Indian and modern, creating a unique and memorable atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a cozy night out or a celebratory dinner with friends, Elizabethan Tandoori House is the perfect spot. Overall, Elizabethan Tandoori House is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine with a touch of elegance. The new owners have brought new life and energy to the restaurant, and the food, service, and atmosphere are better than ever. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in some of the best Indian food in town!

We’ve just had a great meal tonight! Everything was perfect and it’s one of the better authentic and affordable curry houses we’ve been too, especially in Brighton where prices can get a little steep! They looked after us from start to finish, but mainly, the food was great :) The chutney tray was extensive, with a few extra options compared to usual which was nice. The mains and sides were all very flavoursome and not overly oily. The chapati and mushroom rice were okay, but completely outshone by the chicken tikka which was sizzling and very moist, and the Chana saag which was delicious. The korma was a little sweet, but heavy on coconut which was lovely. All in all, this was cracking!

Really impressed with the food from this curry house. I ordered the garlic chilli chicken to takeaway. (sorry, no pics - wolfed it down!) The sauce was thick and full of flavour, chicken and chillies. The sauce was not watery and coated my boiled rice and garlic naan to perfection. The restaurant itself is quaint and cute. It was very busy too, spoke volumes of quality. Definitely a place I'd visit again for a spicy dish!

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! Took my grandad here for his birthday. We arrived and waited 20 minutes to have our drinks. To which we took the opportunity to order both our starters and mains. Our starter didn’t arrive for 40 minutes which we engulfed in minutes as it was so tiny and we were so hungry. 45 minutes AFTER our starters there was still no sign of a main. Tables arrived after us and had received food before us. We then asked how long until our dinner would be ready to find out they hadn’t even started it! Customer service was absolutely shocking, all the waiters looked so miserable and when I told him we’d like to leave he tried to tell me it won’t be long, completely disregarding the fact I told him We’d like the bill as we’d been waiting almost two hours. We paid the bill for two starters and 4 beers which came to over £60. (Including service charge) Staff tried to make no amendments for ruining my grandads evening. We we’re left searching for somewhere else last minute at 8.30pm. Will never be coming here again or recommending to anyone. OVERPRICED. NOT WORTH THE QUALITY OR QUANTITY FOR THAT MATTER. And STAFF ARE EVER SO...

This was an excellent experience, for a variety of reasons.

My friends and I are decent cooks and fussy eaters, hence we are hard to please. We had heard good things about this restaurant, so decided to give it a try.

The building is very pretty - the wooden beams and low ceilings are very charming. Upon arrival, we had a beer whilst our table was being prepared. Always a fan of a nice, cold, Tiger beer.

The first things I noticed about the menu were that the prices were quite reasonable (between £5 - 8 for starters, and £8 - 12 for mains), and the interesting blend of Indian and Bengali food on offer.

We decided to take the waiter's recommendation, and have a mixed starter. The quantity of food was just right, and the flavours excellent.

Our mains were all tasty, fresh, spicy and filling. Just what we were after.

The waiter was charismatic and funny, which added to the experience for us.

As fussy diners with high expectations, we were very pleased, would come here again, and would...
