My husband and I had a wonderful meal at La Tana to celebrate our anniversary! It’s beautifully decorated and has a lovely atmosphere, with a very friendly welcome and service throughout our visit. The meal was incredible! We had delicious specials starters, and of course their amazing Mozzarella dough balls! And we shared a veggie Calzone which was huge and so tasty! We also had yummy ice cream and a slice of banoffee pie. Excellent choice of drinks as well were on offer. The team were super helpful in creating a veggie calzone, and assured us that many of the dishes offered can be made vegetarian as everything is cooked fresh to order. This is brilliant news for us and we will certainly be back! Other reviews have commented that it is overly expensive, but the quality of food and portions would suggest otherwise. If you want a cheap Italian meal there are lots of options in town, but for an incredible meal this is the place! And we absolutely could have scaled back our order to be more affordable if it wasn’t a special occasion, and we will do so that we can visit often! Thanks to the brilliant team and huge complements...

We visited this evening, and found the restaurant pleasant to enter. We were met by less than enthusiastic staff who seemed reluctant to serve us. We ordered drinks and a starter and finished these and then struggled to find staff to serve us again. When we finally managed to order, we found the staff condescending and rude. Our drinks were finished long before my main course arrived and my boyfriend had to wait a further half an hour for his. We were consistently ignored and made to feel like we were unwelcome by the staff for our entire visit. This is not what I expected from an island that prides itself on its hospitable nature! I find this thoroughly disappointing. We will not be returning and strive to advise others to not bother with the trip as you will be treated with appalling distain. There is nothing to offer at this restaurant that would make it worth visiting, so do yourself a favour and choose...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Tana, a hidden gem in our local area, and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The quality of the food was absolutely outstanding fresh, authentic, and bursting with flavor. It genuinely surpassed even some Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve tried! What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely cared about every detail, making us feel valued and welcomed from start to finish. Their warmth and professionalism added a personal touch that’s hard to come by these days. As for the price while it might be on the higher side, it’s 100% worth it for the level of quality and care you receive. This is not just a meal ,it’s an experience. I wholeheartedly recommend La Tana to anyone looking for top-tier Italian food with a warm and memorable atmosphere. I’m already looking forward...

La Tana is truly the best Italian restaurant in Brighton! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious—each dish is bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Italy. Since our first visit, we've returned three times because we just can't get enough! The service is impeccable; the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about providing a great dining experience. What makes La Tana stand out even more is that the entire kitchen team is Italian, which really shines through in the quality and authenticity of the food. You can tell every dish is cooked with love and dedication. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Italian cuisine in Brighton. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

My experience here was lovely. The food was nice, the service was really friendly & the atmosphere was also great. I almost felt like I was in a restaurant on holiday. The food at the restaurant is well priced for this sort of food. Between us, my girlfriend & I had 3 starters, 2 mains, 1 side, 1 dessert & 3 drinks (2 prosecco's & 1 pint) & the total came to just over £76. I will be definitely going back. In the pictures (We'd already started eating the starters before taking a pic 🤦🏻‍♂️) : Starters = Soup of the day (Minestrone), Calamari & Bruschetta. (my g/f said it was the best minestrone soup she'd ever eaten) Mains = Carbonara & Spaghetti with Meatballs Side = Garlic Bread with cheese Dessert = Banoffi Pie If you haven't tried this place, I would definitely recommend you try it.
