Fields Deli & Coffee — Restaurant in England

Paid £20 for pie chips peas and a coffee twice.

More transport cafe than quality deli.

The food isn’t bad although we arrived just before 4pm. The staff started cleaning sweeping and moving tables although the meal.

It really made us feel uncomfortable, I understand a little clearing but this was full on cleaning.

We felt rushed and a little disappointed with the whole experience do yourself a favour and go pay £4 from a chippy you will avoid being disappointed.

We did speak to the staff and asked the if cleaning needed to be done while customers were still eating as one off the staff BARKED back

Very clean & well presented. Friendly staff. We had all had our hot drinks by the time the food arrived, so maybe a polite suggestion to ask if drinks are wanted immediately or just before the food arrives? Employees struggling with mini tablets for order taking as the format not very well set out. No table service which is fair enough but passing points on the steep stairwell with food is slightly uncomfortable. No real space to bring a person with walking sticks. Good food.
