inside service is always phenomenal, that would get 5* from me, however the drive through system sucks. i’ve only used it on 2 occasions but both were bad, on the 1st occasion we ordered 2 bacon dogs with mushrooms (bun, bacon, dog, mushrooms) they got them both wrong and added cheese. issue was resolved but no one needed that stress and faff on. about a year later we tried the drive though again, same order as before, came with cheese again, we checked this time before leaving then went round a second time, this time the person serving at the window repeated the order back to me and added mustard, i said “no mustard, no mustard, - no sauce, - just the bun, the dog, the bacon and the mushrooms” he said okay and then gave us our order with mustard on??, third time round through the drive through they didn’t even put the mushrooms on but we gave up at that point. other than that the staff are always friendly and polite and the service is always speedy and if you go inside the food will be good and as...
Read moreThere's no intersctive digital menu ordering like in other guys outlets I've been to but the two tills are working fine-perhaps said ordering system would overwhelm the kitchen at this stage, theh aim to serve within 7 minutes. It was really fast service, and everyone was genuinely really happy! Even with 250,000 orders/customers in the first week, they're like a machine in there organised and such. For the time being they have an overflow of staff because last week the que for the drive-through was actually starting before the roundabout. Now it's at the doors of an already vacant venue. When people drove past they're almost always commenting with the window open about how relatively quiet it is inside. There's a nice area outside to sit if inside is too much, and it is loud/busy, with decent music and atmosphere even with cars driving by. I'd definitely go again, unless the ques are that rediculously long there's a two hour wait like...
Read moreI have had to edit this review, as they have certainly improved. We have sat in the restaurant a couple of times now, there's always a bit of a wait but we expect that. Sitting in is definitely the preferred way to enjoy Five Guys. We ordered home delivery for the first time and they had adapted the bag so that the fries didn't get too soggy and the burgers were much nicer and tasted just like other branches. Well done!
Original review:
Taking it home is definitely not as nice as sitting in. First order the fries were soggy, burgers were small and chunky (didn't fit in the bun, usually they're nice and flat) and they forgot the sauces I asked for, so I put it down to teething problems... But on the second visit a couple weeks later it was the same situation again. Such a shame it's always been perfect elsewhere. So I'd recommend sitting in, and giving them a good couple month to flatten out their...
