Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Disappointing experience at Costa today.

I visited with the intention of enjoying my coffee at the café, as I always place my order through the app and select the ‘eat in’ option. However, every time, they serve it in a takeaway cup. So today, I made sure to go to the counter and clearly told them I wanted it for eat in—yet again, they gave it in a takeaway cup.

When I pointed it out, the staff member took the coffee back with clear frustration and poured it into a small cup. Then she realized it was supposed to be a medium cappuccino, so she poured it into a medium cup, added a bit more milk and coffee—but she did all of this very rudely, showing clear irritation. She just left it there and walked away angrily.

the staff member even told me, “Next time, don’t place an eat-in order through the app. Stand in the queue instead.” If I have to stand in the queue anyway, then what’s the point of having the eat-in option on the app? Staff members really need to start reading the order details properly.

Stood waiting to be served. Busy at drive through but one guy was stacking plates. Plenty there and cups. He walked passed us seeing we had been waiting a while. He decided to stock up sugars.

Clearly customers come last. He could of served us bit no. All 3 had faces that made the place uninviting.

So we went elsewhere with our money and no profit off us.
