What an amazing experience, you have to visit this place! Didn't get here until almost 9pm, seated straight away, shown the menu which is amazing and advised about the daily specials. I noticed there was a set menu on the back of the menu and a colleague brought the menu over. Looking over the menu it looked like we were just over the finishing time for the set menu and I asked a colleague if were we too late.. without any fuss she said it would be fine.. so we ordered. The tomato soup of the day was a credit to the chef along with the pate. Served and presented so well but the taste was superb. The mains arrived beef burger and chicken burger both loaded with crispy salad, gherkins, burger sauce both very moist and tasty. Well presented with steak cut chips in a basket. Lastly Eton mess and banoffee mess... Wow... Amazing. Full of flavour. Well presented.. cream and ice cream were of decent quality you could taste this. Was a very enjoyable experience and they deserved a nice tip for attitudes atmosphere, attentiveness and amazing food quality. Service was really good even though they we're very busy (all tables occupied) and the staff very attentive they managed the tables really well. We shared calamari which was cooked perfectly being nice and soft and not rubbery. It was date night for us and we had the sirloin sizzling steaks. It's a brilliant concept 'cook your own steak'. I had blue cheese sauce with mine which had the right balance of cheese. It comes with a choice and I opted for the sweet potato fries and although they had ran out I was given chucky chips free, I like the fact they made a quick decision to keep they're customer happy without me even asking. We shared a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream but it wasn't the best, it was a ping in the microwave one. So much effort put into mains and starters but sadly let down with the deserts, which could do with a rethink. I wore a new white shirt, a no no as the steak on the hot stone spits a bit! I went on friday with 10 colleagues from work. Abba tribute night. We were there on time 19.30. Took or orders all fine. By 21.15 still no starters. Others were finishing there desserts. Starters finaly came . Next was the main meal. Steaks all cooked to medium/well done. We had ordered medium rare. Asked for salad came with chips got told by waitress can you just not have that. I replied no. Which she then said. Can I just leave it there. I replied no. All sauces ordered at an extra £3 each came when meals were eaten. Then came the dessert order. Out of 11 of us 10 ordered desserts. By 10.45 2 had arrived. No more came. The only person that was interested in trying to sort our orders out was a young lad Alfie. Thank you Alfie. I'm not one to complain but flames have definatly missed out on any future work outings from us including our chrismas do. Terrible service. And as set menu had to all pay full price for half a meal £29.99 each. Did not even get to enjoy the entertainment of which we could not see due to seating and being so hungry waiting for our meal.
