Fondo Lounge — Restaurant in England

We visited here today with our 2 dogs 3-4pm. We received a friendly welcome, all the staff were lovely and very attentive, great service. I had a red bush tea, and hubby had americano coffee (he said it was really nice coffee). There was a lovely atmosphere, with background music that didn't make it difficult to eat with it playing. The food didn't take long to arrive, it was well presented, they used fresh salad ingredients, and cooked the food perfectly. I'm both gluten and milk intolerant, I chose a beyond meat burger. It was very tasty. Hubby chose the steak, and he said he enjoyed his meal. So, we stayed for dessert. Hubby enjoyed sticky toffee pudding, and I had GF VG passion fruit Semifreddo, omg it was really lovely, I highly recommend it. It is very rare to find a dessert for me when we eat out. The Fondo Lounge , the name brings back memories of dipping bits of bread into melted cheese with friends. Coming away and thinking, that was lovely. Likewise this restaurant. A cheery welcome when we arrived from a relaxed staff who were in fact, very on the ball, A slightly different menu than your use to, but and a big but, some lovely offerings on the menu. Ordering was easy, at the bar and food and drinks arrived promptly, nicely presented. I always think food tastes so much better when it's nicely presented . The food was excellent , I had salmon and noodles and would gladly have it again if it was not for the fact there were other good things on the menu I want to try. The Fondo Lounge lays on the high street, easy to find and there is no rush to leave the table, for a quick or long meal you can't go wrong. Excellent. Polite, friendly and professional, very busy too for morning trade . Very clean, very good service more like a high end restraunt. I judge breakfast on coffee and sausages, flat white good price, foamy coffee heaven followed by strong smooth coffee paradise. Good meaty Herby banger, bacon? Smoked and salty crispy deliciousness, not greasy but quality kept us full all day long. Little bit more expensive but then the quality speaks for itself. Child friendly, disabled friendly the buzz of the atmosphere told me soon as we walked in full of happy people; and that's a rare thing these days. Great menu, lots of choices wife had the standard breakfast, I had pancakes and bacon with poached eggs. Proper poached with care, sourdough bread, good food, good atmosphere, coffee - what more do you need to start your day?...
