Greggs — Restaurant in England

Have been a regular customer here for years and used to absolutely love it. Great food, lovely staff and quick service.

Unfortunately, the vegan options have been declining so although I’ve still been visiting, I’ve found myself leaving the shop empty handed. There used to be an amazing southern fried baguette but the basket in the fridge has been empty for ages now… I tried to ask the girl on the till if the tray would be replaced with something else or if the baguettes would come back but I think she misunderstood me as she got very defensive about it and told me to try another shop 🫣

I will still keep trying as I’m ever hopeful that things will improve and I’ll be able to visit my favourite high street...

When buying the last vegan sausage roll, I asked when more vegan sausage rolls were coming out, and was told "15 mins". So I went back 15 mins later and asked if they were ready yet, she said "no". I said "well it's been 15 mins, so how long will they be? I need to get to work". She says "they'll be 20 mins".... No apology. I just had to leave at that point otherwise I would have said something nasty. But seriously...!! If it was just that one girl working there I would rate the service 0 stars, but the other staff are...

Whilst it keeps up with the Greggs standard, the shop itself is tiny yet they have one member of staff serving whilst the queue builds right of the door and out onto the street. Okay for those who have an hour to wait 😂 But for those of us who work and come to the store we don't have time to line up on the street.
