We came back to Fuel for breakfast again this year after having such a lovely time last year, and it didn't disappoint. Having worked in the food and drink industry, I always appreciate how incredibly hard it is and never mind waiting. That said, we were met with a smiling and attentive man (im so sorry I don't know your name, but you had cool tattoos). My youngest was overjoyed when he realised he could have an iced coffee too! Skip forward to that evening, and after meeting an empty pizza express and being told they had no tables! We decided to go to Fuel for dinner and hoped we could get a table last minute. We met (I believe she is called Maja) who welcomed us and although she was working alone, didn't let her smiling happy nature dip, even for a second. The blueberry mocktails were out of this world and the pork stir fry fed my soul, after a week of bad food. We absolutely loved Fuel and will always come back when we can. It feels like coming back to a family, and I can't understand any of the negative posts (not that there are many). If you want a family feel, Fuel is your place. If your want pish waiters serving you like you're eating at Buckingham Palac, then best you go elsewhere and leave Fuel to the people that appreciate it. Thanks guys, for everything this year! Love...
Read moreMy husband and I were walking through the streets of Falmouth and needed some lunch, The Fuel caught our eye and my husband spotted they did tempura seafood so we popped in. We were met by a very warm welcome by the owner and his son. We looked through the menu and I spotted the goats cheese salad and my husband was after the tempura but this was only avalible in the evening but there was also fresh Falmouth mussels. Well the owner said he’d speak to the Chef, but was sure it wasn’t a problem to order the tempura sea food. At this point my husband started to get really excited. The goats cheese salad came and was perfectly beautiful and didn’t last long at all. My husband was blown away by the tempura seafood. All so fresh and fantastic, it was accompanied by a very large glass each of Sauvignon Blanc. It was a perfect lunch in a great setting in Falmouth and at a great price for what we had. Would we go back, yes at a drop of a hat we would. Thank you Fuel for a wonderful lunch and I would highly recommend anyone to call in for lunch or dinner. All the best To you all at Fuel, Glenda McKay, Ex....
Read more👎👎👎 ❗For £11 - £12 for a breakfast I expected something better than that of which you can get for £5 at a greasy-spoon café. Hash browns were from a factory made packet, bacon was pink and lacking flavour, the bread was from a standard sliced loaf of bread. There are far better places in town to get a MUCH NICER breakfast for just £8 -£10, where their food is nearly all homemade (including the beans and hash browns!)on the premises and proper fresh loafs are used. 2 stars because the staff were friendly.
I'm sure the owner will leave me some bolshy, obnoxious reply, as they have with others who've left 1 and 2 star reviews. When really the owner should be taking note of customer's negative experiences and showing a bit of simple love to the food they produce. A bit of garlic, herbs, spices and pepper go a long way to massively improving bland food and at very little effort. There are also plenty fo goo bakeries in town to source some decent, fresh bread at a similar cost to that of standard...
