it's a small restaurant with a tiny open kitchen the size of a bar. The place was quite busy when we went with only 1 chef. We had left another restaurant that had #Gluten Free food as they had run out of food. We decided to try this place as they said they had Gluten Free options. Seeing the kitchen and the chef alone I did want to go somewhere else but didn't as everyone was hungry. Turned out to be a bad choice as I got Glutened. Given how small the kitchen is and the chef being alone the probability of cross contamination was very high and even though I ordered a curry which should have been the safest bet, I had a severe attack despite having taken a Gluten Ease pill before eating. The girls serving were college students, very sweet but very confused and accepted that she was! The Goat curry was very spicy as were the Tacos. The Goat curry was not very flavourful just spicy. The salmon and mashed potato was tasty and well cooked and the drinks were good. I would definitely NOT recommend for anyone with a Gluten Allergy or Coeliac.

We didn't make a reservation but luckily we got a table because later that evening the place is buzzing with customers! Nice vibe and relaxing music. Friendly staff. And most importantly, amazing food!! We ordered a potato wedge for starter - oooo so fresh and crispy and the dip is like nothing I've ever had. For main we ordered a pineapple and coconut janga and a rice with ackee and fish. The janga is 100/100, good portion, generous amount of seafood in there, don't be put off by the pineapple it adds sweetness and freshness to the seafood! The fish and ackee is equally amazing, never had ackee before so we asked a member of waiting staff which part of it is ackee - he was so friendly and knowledgable about the food, it was as if he cooked it. Price is reasonable considering the amount of seafood there were (also compared to what we'd have for the same price in London). 100/100 recommend and would go again. Don't forget to book a table first to avoid disappointment! :)

Came here with my husband to celebrate my birthday. The food was utterly sublime, which is something I don't get to say often due to being vegetarian, however the colours, the flavours and the presentation was incredible, the choice for vegetarian/vegan meals was fabulous (not a large choice however you can see a lot of thought has gone into this menu to ensure there is something for every taste within this section) My only very minor niggle was the front of house staff (although every member was lovely and very happy to help) seemed a little disorganized, however it was busy (potentially unusually so for a Tuesday before summer holidays) and it felt they may of been short staffed. Even though I mention this it did not ruin my celebrations and a wonderful evening was had. Can highly recommend but book first to garrentee a table.

Nice food, terrible service and management decision. I ordered a mains ribs to share with my 7 year old son. 3 ribs and side salad were bought to us. I thought that this was a small portion for £20. Before touching the food I asked the waiter if this was mains ribs, there were no fries and 3 plus a part of a rib. The waiter said that that’s what I ordered. I explained that I wanted the mains and an extra plate to share the ribs with my son. After speaking to his manager the waiter took the ribs back. I said not to waste the ribs, if need be we could eat the portion in front of us and bring the extras making up the mains when they were ready. The manager wanted the ribs back to ( what I thought would be) present the meal as ordered. 2 mins later we received our order. The same amount of ribs spread on a large plate with a portion of fries and the same salad. Not to raise a fuss me and my son ate the meal as upon entrance we were told that we could be squeezed in having not previously booked therefore appreciating the time given to us. We finished the “meal” and I asked for the bill. I expected to be charged for a portion of fries plus the starter ribs ( having thought the waiter had made a second mistake) I asked the waiter and he told me that the portion sizes were the same for starters and mains. Having made no sense I asked the waiter if I could speak to the manager as this couldn’t be right. I explained my point to the owner thinking that he would tell me that the bill was wrong. The owner confirmed that a starte consists of 3 ribs and a mains consists of 4 ribs. I told the owner that I never complain about food but this is an obvious error. Having known the portion size it would have been cheaper to have 2 x rib starters ( £18) receive 6 ribs 2 x portions of fries and 2 x side salad? I was told that that was my decision and that the price charged was correct. I’m a family man running a small business myself. This just doesn’t add up. To be constructive I mentioned that the owner should state his figures on the menu…3 ribs for a £9 starter and 4 ribs for a £20 main. I added though that he probably would never sell a mains rib ever again though. I paid in full as I’m not one to cause a scene particularly on holiday but…What a lack of sense and in turn a...

Small restaurant which started to get busy. The serving staff were very pleasant, but appeared overloaded which lead to extended waiting. Overall, the food was decent, well cooked and well presented. However, the goat curry was salty. We ordered a side of chips, which were also salted in the kitchen and too salty. My disappointment is with the portion size. The curry was reasonable, but the cheapest part of the meal , the rice, was presented in a moulded fashion about the size of an egg cup. The portion would need to be four times the size to approach being acceptable. In terms of cost it would be about 6p. Why spoil the meal for this? Even the extra chips didn't make up for the small serving. We ordered desserts as we still had plenty of space to fill. The entire serving of "sticky toffee pudding" fitted comfortably on the dessert spoon. I'm sorry to post what sounds like a negative review, as the food was good. I understand the business point of view, but the tiny portion issue really needs addressing. It's preventing me returning and spoiled our first wedding...
