Absolutely horrendous experience. Our family went here with another family of 4 around 7.30pm. Their order was taken 5 minutes after ours as they didn't have something in stock and new choices had to be made. We were told there could be a 40 minute wait - strange as not many other customers were around, but fair enough. Over an hour later my families meals arrived. I'd ordered pie and mash - pie and chips appeared. We had no cutlery so waited for that. 5 minutes later my actual pie and mash appeared - sorry to whoevers chips I'd been grazing on while waiting! 10 minutes after that the poor server came with the cutlery she'd had to wash herself. The meals themselves were extremely disappointing. My mash was stodgy and more like instant mash. A pathetic amount of broccoli that was undercooked, with 5 peas hidden underneath!! The pie was OK I guess. My wife's fish and chips were very greasy and salty. She was given the option of mushy or garden peas - neither arrived. Maybe I'd been given her 5 peas! My daughter had ordered cucumber and carrot sticks to go with her (tough) burger, was told they didn't have any carrot, but it actually came with no cucumber. Meanwhile the other family with us had to wait until 20 minutes after we had finished for their food to arrive. Their food was just as disappointing as ours. The children had ordered desserts when we had initially ordered. 30 minutes after the other family had finished their food and after multiple requests for them to serve this promptly as it was now very late, a member of staff informed us they didn't actually have the ice cream they needed to make them! This was the last straw so we asked for a refund for the desserts and were also refunded for 2 of the children's meals. There were also no locks on the ladies toilets and neither toilets had working driers. Truly the worst dining experience all 7 of us had ever had. But hey, the...

Arrived around 8 and awaited service for about 15 mins. Upon ordering however was told that a very large section of the menu was unavailable. hey, it happens, according to our waitress (who was also working the bar) they had a big crowd last night which cleared them out. We placed our order and then (after having it delayed) were informed that they were out of a handful of other items and our order would have to be modified as the last few items "just got sold".

We waited about 45 minutes for our mains to arrive and while the food was good the service was abysmal. Our waitress checked in once to refresh drinks (which they were also basically out of) and didn't mention that we would likely not be able to order desserts due to the kitchen closing. Had we been able to get our food in time or have been made aware BEFORE the kitchen closed we likely would've ordered something.

Overall the food was good but the lacking service and overall atmosphere wasn't ideal. For a Saturday night where all surrounding businesses were booming it should've been telling that this place was practically empty.

perhaps it was a fluke, or simply poor management but I'd take this into consideration before...

We visited yesterday evening for food and drinks. There were a few food options missing which was no problem however, a lot of alcohol choices were also not available. We ordered burgers, they were ok, nothing special. We didn't take advantage of sitting outside as it was quite chilly but the outside seating area is really pleasant. We were both really horrified though when we visited the toilets. The route to them and the toilets themselves are in an awful state. Really run down, unhygienic and in desperate need of repair. For a place that sells food it's really off-putting and I'm glad I didn't use them before I had eaten my meal. This was really surprising to see for a pub that is owned by Greene King, I have always experienced them to have such higher standards. The real positive about the visit was the lovely young lady behind the bar who was completely on her own and trying to do several jobs at once. She was so pleasant, polite and efficient. This pub is in an amazing location but desperately needs some investment. I'm afraid that due to the state of the toilets we won't be returning, and yes, they really...

This is the second visit to the Quayside Inn and after our experience last time when we returned to Falmouth we decided to return. As last time the service from the bar team was brilliant extremely polite and friendly. However the seats are vet stained and dirty, The table and floor felt sticky and un clean but the worst thing was the toilets the gents were not great and the ladies had one out of order cubicle with a very scruffy hand written sign that looked like it had seen better days and the locks didn’t work on the other cubicle and not the cleanest. To be honest this put us off eating and will probably steer us away from any GK pubs. With the bar team clearly great front of house people it seems more of a leadership issue with no clear direction. I don’t like leaving bad comments and if you view my other Google reviews I nearly always give 5 Stars but on this occasion I feel I’m generous giving 3 but that’s only because the people behind the bar were great

It is a lovely place for drinks with a nice view but be aware of their food quality and level of service. The staff was friendly, but I got a completely different meal from what they offer on the menu, and many items were missing. Unfortunately, they did not inform me in advance, and I felt very disappointed that I had no choice. I ordered Coca-Cola Zero with lime and Roasted salmon salad. 1. My drink came with “dead” lime. I think it is unacceptable to serve that kind of lime with black spots. Please, see the picture attached. 2. The salmon salad was modified and had missing ingredients. Rice was tasteless. However, the presentation was good. I would rather have good food tho. The staff decided to return the money for an incorrect meal. I appreciate it, but it could be easily avoided.
