Appalling customer service. Placed an order at 6:30pm, delivery was scheduled for 7:45pm. At 8:15pm I called the restaurant and spoke to a girl who told me our order was on it's way. Waited almost a further hour and called again at 9:02pm - the same girl told me the order was on it's way and once it had left the restaurant it wasn't her problem. I told her it was her problem because I hadn't received it yet and asked if she could contact the delivery driver - she told me they don't have good phone reception in the restaurant and they don't have the numbers of any of their delivery people. When I questioned that, given that we were talking on a landline number and I failed to believe that any takeaway business wouldn't have the contact details of their delivery drivers, she told me I was hassling her as she was only a 15 year old girl and she shouldn't have to answer 90 calls a day from so many people being mean to her... I said I was simply asking where my order is. She then decided I had called her a liar and threatened to end the call. I saved her the hassle and hung up myself. It's now 9:23pm and we're still waiting for our food....
UPDATE at 10:10pm - phoned the restaurant 2 more times, my partner spoke to the same girl this time. First time she said she put it in the bag herself, it was on its way and that she was just an 18 year old girl trying to do her job. Second time she told him it was still with them and hadn't been cooked yet. When my parter questioned it, she falsely accused him of calling her names and calling her a liar. He said he was sorry to hear that and hadn't called her any names, but when we have been told it was on its way and now told it hadn't even been cooked yet, then we had clearly been lied to. She said she had other things to do and couldn't spend all her time talking to him on the phone so hung up. He called back and said he thought he had just been hung up on, she said no she hadn't, and when he said the call was disconnected, she said "oh yeah I did hang up on you because you were rude to me. He said he was just asking her where our food was, and she hung up again. We will most certainly be avoiding this takeaway like the plague from now on. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and now resorting to toast for dinner as we're too...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not order a Takeaway from this restaurant. Last weekend we ordered following a recommendation from a friend. They feature on Just Eat and so felt some re-assurance. However, could not order on their site due to us being 4 miles from the premises and the limit being set at 2 miles.
We called and spoke with an English speaking lady who placed the order and told us one hour. No problem, it was 17:30 so would not be too late. 19:00 came and still no food. Chased and the lady developed sudden amnesia and, in fact order was just coming now and could not recall the hour conversation. Food arrived 'Luke' warm and when my young daughter cut into her crispy chicken ball it was raw. We then inspected the other chicken balls and they were raw as well. We called the takeaway and the female we spoke to earlier offered no apology or solution. In the end she advised us that 'all the food' had to be returned and they would send the deliver driver to collect. However, the expectation was that we stay in all night for him to come as she could not say when. We have young children and needed to eat. In the end we took the food back to the restaurant in person. The confirmed the food was raw, offered absolutely no apology and simply refunded the money we paid.
We reported the incident to environmental health and the restaurant informed the officer that they could not recall us as customers or the issue. I have, of course provided phone records of the 7 minute call made to report the raw food to them.
Had they been honest, accepted the error and recognised the real risk this posed to our health maters could have progressed. However, instead they continue to be dishonest.
Raw chicken is completely unacceptable and I urge anyone to simply...

After calling the take away three times I was told at 1920 the order was just being cooked and would be there shortly the second time I called I was told they could not find the order and then after I persisted said it was out for delivery. The third time I called I was told there was no order which was a lie at no point was an offer made to make the food and have it delivered and that they thought I was causing problems by insisting they find out what had happened to the order it was implied that the problem was mine. I then received a phone call from a driver to say he had my food at another house and it had been left there for over an hour he brought it to our house but we turned it down unsure of what had been eaten or touched at another house.
