Hare & Hounds — Restaurant in England

Booked table for 5 people arrived right on time and managed to find a parking space to which is free to park thankfully. Walked in through the entrance but couldn’t see anywhere where to go to be told where to sit nor could we find anyone to ask too, it was very busy either & after waiting at the bar 10, minutes finally someone walked around the bar to the side and we ask where are was reserved to sit as we don’t know where to go. We got told where I sit and orders at the bar rather throw the QR as it said we aren’t taking orders right now, told the bar lady everything we wanted food was very quick to come out but no cutlery was anywhere to be seen which was annoying. Everything on the Sunday menu for the trio of meats tasted great except the stuffing ball they were so dry they tasted awful was like eating a ball of dust. I had ordered 3 drinks but kept 1 behind the bar to keep cool so after I had finish I went up but was stood for ages just to get my drink I had already paid for, the guy who severed me out the wrong slice of fruit inside the drink bottle gave me a lemon inside of a lime and by time I got the drink we all decided to leave.

Would of loved to had return had we no had such bad taste experience and maybe the stuffing balls tasted nice but we all agreed we were throughly...

This is a stunning place, absolutely spotlessly clean throughout.. Colin and Carly were perfect hosts.

Refurbished 2 years ago to a very high standard and has a huge capacity indoor and outdoor seating / eating area with children's play area with climbing frame... Very large carpark

Unfortunately it is raining today but this place would be a great place to sit and enjoy the sunny weather with the kids.

There is a traditional open fire for the cosy nights and cold days

Everywhere in this pub is of a really standard including the food.. I'm privy to go in the areas you can't see and chef has the right stuff no question...

Spotlessly clean with everything labelled / monitored and recorded.

Everything you'd expect for a professional kitchen... I was really impressed with chefs high standards.

All in all a beautifully decorated building, really pleasant owners and staff.... Serving great food.

A place I would be happy to...

Very much overdue review We have eaten here so many times now - we come most weeks to be honest as the food is exceptional and the prices are very reasonable. We take both the kids as they love the food too - the chicken nuggets are fresh and proper chicken. The price for the kids is one of the best I’ve seen too

I tried so many items on the menu now ( old and new ) and I’ve never once had a bad meal. I’m always finding new things I love

The salad ( not a salad person at all) is the best I’ve eaten Burgers are exceptional The lunch menu is fabulous too My partner has the mixed grill and says it’s great Even the Sunday lunch is fab - and for someone like me who doesn’t like a roast I can have anything of the main menu so is a winner for us

If you are looking for somewhere to eat then I wouldn’t look elsewhere - you will not be...
