I say this for many reasons first being before real ale pubs and real ale became a big deal The Crown was a real ale pub.
I have had the pleasure of thousands of different amazing ales over the years. The Crown staff know how to keep a good beer.
But if beer isnt your thing theres plenty of other choice to. Largers from all across the world find their way to The Crown as does the whiskey.
The non alchol drinkers are catered for too.

If you are looking for some entertainment The Crown has this too. Theres live music every week and if you can sing and play an instrument there's open mike night. If you like your comedy The Crown ticks that box too. If you think you have some smarts there is quiz night to flex the old grey matter.

One of the best choices of beers you'll find just about anywhere. Look out for the beer festivals when the landlord, John, will put on in the region of 35 - 40 beers over a weekend. No regular food menu but there are plenty of take-aways in the same street and you can order from the Indian restaurant next door. Bring your food into the pub and have a beer or take your drink...
