Harts Coffee Loft - Cafe and Shop — Restaurant in England

Called in for lunch, waited 55 minutes from point of paying to get one sausage roll and one baked potato. Absolutely appalling service, a young couple next to us from visiting from out of the area got theirs even later but had complained and got two complimentary tickets for coffee. This is the second time this has happened to us as even when prebooked meals for a work lunch the meals still didn’t arrive for 45 minutes and this was in our lunch break. HARTS LOFT looks good from outside. A full breakfast is £10.95 (no hash browns) Breakfast ends at 11 am Lunch starts at midday there's an hour not spoken for. The cafe looks a bit plain the coffee taste was bland. Milkshakes and smoothies a bit pricey. I didn't like the choice on the lunch menu warmed salad, hoisin duck panini, smoked mackerel and beetroot on toast (may contain small bones)

It has an old time feel outdated in style menu + cafe.

Disappointing used to love a trip to Harts but sadly it seems to have lost its way , weak tea however long you leave it to brew, ordered mushrooms and Stilton on toast the toast was soggy , under toasted and the worst quality bread seemed like cheap value bread . Not quite what I was expecting I did not complain on this occasion as my daughter was treating me and didn’t want to appear ungracious we were also in a hurry . Staff as always...
