I attended the pudding night here and was left more than satisfied. Starting with a nice sized savoury platter of cheese and meat I inhaled this to get on to the puddings. An absolute dream sat on the table waiting. Starting with Bakewell tart then banoffee pie moving on to jam Rolly Polly and spotted Richard with custard, chocolate tart, then lemon cheese cake and more. The flavours there utter perfection, a rich chocolate with a thin layer of toffee sauce in a delicate crust. A tangy lemon flavour in the cheese cake. The perfect balance of banana and toffee with thick whipped cream on top. What more can I say? They even make a great flat white. Worth every penny. It needs to improve its signage outside as you wouldn't know it was a cafe unless you get right up to the door. Inside the small hallway was a desk and cakes on display. Makes it crowded and unable to view cakes. I would get rid of the desk and move the cake display into the cafe. Inside the decor is lovely with plenty of tabled. We arrived Sunday early afternoon to be told no plain scones and very little choice of cakes. I had the cheese scone and it was dry , definitely not fresh that day.My daughter had a brownie which was delicious. It has recently been taken over by a new owner so hopefully they improve it . This is hands down the best cooked breakfast that money can buy in doset . Lovely people , lovely surroundings & best of all lovely food . For £6.99 my great breakfast consisted of 2 bacon , 1 sausage , 1 black pudding , 1 fried egg , 1 grilled tomato , baked beans , fried sliced potatoes , fried mushrooms & a slice of hand cut toast . All the ingredients are top quality , tasty & not your cheap that'll do versions . And the coffee was great too .
