Well here's another 🌟 to make it 6 The cafe has a nice cosy feel to the place, well decorated and nice little touches dotted around. The menu worked well with plenty to choose from plus they had loose tea (yeah), I had the pie and it's was really tasty and couldn't fault it. I have to mention the tea pot , what a nice change to get a pot for 2 and actually have enough in the pot for each of us. What was nice for me was that the owner I assumed came over to a family who came in and brought a treat over for there little dog. It looks like they've sourced out for local produce, nice service; nice food and we'll be back

Lovely little tea room in the Heart of the town, amazing afternoon tea, a varied choice of delicious sandwiches mini pies & quiche, followed by light plain or fruit scones jam & clotted cream and a delicious selection of home baked cakes, a pot of tea or coffee to wash it all down! Amazing value, very friendly & obliging staff, I thoroughly recommend a try if looking for afternoon tea.

Cosy and intimate, this family run cafe is an oasis of calm and an excellent place to recharge between the myriad gifting opportunities of Sturminster Newton’s high street. We came for the car show, headed in for a quick coffee, and felt such a warm welcome, we stayed for scones. Thank you for making us feel so at home.

I’m a new customer to Sweet Pea and today I popped in for breakfast, I was met by my waitress Ella, she got me seated and offered me the breakfast menu, she took my drinks order to, very soon she was back with my drinks, a coffee and an elderflower pressé she took my breakfast order. About ten minutes later she reappeared with my breakfast! Well presented on the plate and plenty to eat! Of note the sausages where really good, herby Lincolnshire style (my favourite), the coffee was really good certainly better than Starbucks or Costa!

I finished my breakfast and paid, giving my compliments to both Ella and the lady doing the cooking! Well done all, see...

Nice little cafe. Love that it is dog friendly. We had a very nice lunch here (with dog). Cakes looked very delishish but we were full after our tasty open sandwiches so resisted them. But really look forward to trying some on another visit. It was very busy on a late Saturday afternoon lunch time and we were lucky to get a table. Staff were very friendly and we were served quickly.

Update: Had another lunch here with friends and our dog. Lovely sandwiches and paninis. Excellent coffee and tasty luscious milkshakes and other drinks. Staff all very friendly and service was excellent. Great place to...
