Highway — Restaurant in England

Visited the Highway last night with my husband for a meal only...that was the plan, we ended up staying until closing time!! There was a soul band performing, played the most fantastic songs 👍👍👏👏. The food was incredible, the fish and chips was to die for 🤤. The landlady and her team are incredible, extremely friendly, approachable and professional 😊. Well how do I begin. The landlady straight up accused us of something we never did.. I have visited this pub sporadically over the years. Not a favourite place, but I noticed from this latest visit that it has improved greatly. I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the meals, but i found it to be lively, friendly, and good value. Staff were also really pleasant.
