Wing Hing — Restaurant in England

It's difficult to write this as I am still absolutely fuming after my recent experience with these thieving charlatans. I placed a large order ( almost £100) at 7:45pm yesterday through Just Eat and was still waiting 2 hours later! I contacted just eat, the restaurant gave them a new update so I sat and waited again. At 10:00pm I started calling the restaurant to chase it up and there was no answer ( I called 11 times!) When I checked my app on just eat, the status had changed and was asking me to rate my order! What? The one I never received? The one that the restaurant were quite happy taking my money and ignoring my calls about? That order?.......to make matters worse, I googled Wing Hing to check I had an up-to-date phone number, only to notice that they were now in fact CLOSED for the evening. ( They closed at 10:30 apparently). So no food, no money, no explanation or apology! AVOID this place at all costs!! Takeaway ordered at 6.15pm with a predicted delivery time of 7.30pm. At 7:55pm called up t ao ask what was going on, was told 40 minutes. At 9:15pm after waiting for 3 hours and not being able to contact the restaurant by telephone I decided to drive to the restaurant to see what was going on. They had clearly tried to cash in on being one of the few takeaways open by taking more orders then they could cope with. The food had not even started being cooked. I was asked by the very polite front of house lady if I wanted to cancel - I was told they could make it in 10 mins if I waited, so I did. Got food home and it was pretty cold and tasteless. Feel ripped off that we were made to wait so long and that I was charged a delivery fee and a service fee when I received neither. We have been going to Wing Hing's since around 2006 and have always found it to be excellent and recommended it to anyone who was looking for great chinese food. That was, however, until a recent order where we found the food to be bland, watery and unappetizing. I have subsequently discovered that the take-away is under new ownership and despite assurances that the food was being cooked to the same recipes as the previous owners it is just not the same Wing Hing's that we regularly visited. Really sad to see the end of this great take-away. We even gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried a second time after a few weeks but this was even worse than the first. With the sad decline of Wing's I'd be very grateful if anyone knows if the previous owners have opened up a new restaurant or can recommend another decent...
