This place is called The Bay. Everything was amazing! Please visit! I can't mention enough how great the staff are here! We were camping at Home Farm in Blue Anchor Bay for 3 nights. We ate here every day because we were made to feel by the staff as if we had been visiting there for years, they are SO friendly and happy to please customers. We speak to people in a way we expect to be spoken to - and the staff obviously respond very well to that!! They are rushed off their feet in a place that doesn't have the capacity to support them in how they are expected to serve, yet they are ALL brilliant at what they do and continue to set standards and keep the place running very well. The food was absolutely delicious! Please go eat there if you visit Blue Anchor Bay - we were so happy to have a place like this to eat and drink at. Very dog friendly, beautiful seating areas inside and out with beautiful views, facilities to use were clean and the staff do not stop to maintain what they could where they could. I was very annoyed to see something on one of my sites about this place and the staff which was malicious and untrue (fortunately it was removed - which gives an indication of what lies were put really). I won't expect everyone to read this, but I would like to mention the whole team and thank you all for our experience with you! Read moreThis place was a very pleasant surprise. The food and cakes were excellent and had a homemade feel to them. The staff are absolutely lovely and very friendly and helpful. The indoor seating is really nice with a small mixture of tables, low coffee tables with sofas and some high tables. There's also quite a few tables outside on the decking. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and drink we enjoyed. The outlook is lovely because you look straight out to sea. We've been to other Holborne sites, but this was the best eatery so far. If you go to Blue Anchor, even if you are not staying on site, I'd recommend you pay it a visit. The cafe is right at the front of the site with parking outside. We went as a group of 5 adults, 3 children and 3 dogs and even though the restaurant is small, we were always able to get seating. So in summary, a cafe/restaurant/bar with a great view, lovely staff, good food and a nice atmosphere even though it's part of the Holborne...
Read moreWent there for a breakfast which they didn't really do, so settled for a panini and cappuccino (×2). £15.70 for that so expected reasonable food at least. Out came two frothy milks with a hint of coffee flavour, and two totally flat paninis, obviously from a packet, with no garnish whatsoever. Cutlery came in a posh looking pouch with a napkin. I would rather they spent my money on food rather than cutlery I didn't need, wrapped unnecessarily. We took the coffee back just to politely ask for a spoon of instant to give it some flavour, to be told "it's a single shot, it's supposed to be weak" !!! Coffee as far as I'm aware should taste of coffee. So in short, poor food and drink, and stroppy staff. Will use the Driftwood cafe down the...
