Hop Co — Restaurant in England

Hop co is a normal place for us to go to for a day drink or night session. However we were falsely accused of damaging one for their booths. We were there for a drink or two and ended up in the booth next to their bar. Everything was fine and we left for another bar. Later on, one of their bar maid came across to the other bar we were at, accusing us of damaging one of their booth chairs whilst showing us a picture of it. We immediately refuted this. We explained that all we had were a couple of drinks, and go there regularly on a day drink session. The bar maid would not accept this and said we were not welcome there anymore. Rather then get into an argument in someone else bar we said we would not go there anymore, solely based on her disingenuous accusations. A couple of us went over to talk to the staff. The same bar maid continued to blame us for it, with no evidence expect the picture of the damage. One of the other staff then came over and said it wasn’t us and we’re were welcome back in future and the bar maid who accused us apologised. As good as the apology was, we do not appreciate one of there staff coming over to another bar to accuse of FLASLY of this. The bar man as odyssey said that was rude and unprofessional of her to come to another bar to falsely accuse us of this. We shall not be coming...

Absolutely can’t fault this place! Our favourite bar to go, whether it’s a quiet weekday drink, a live music filled Friday/Saturday, or an open mic on a Sunday! The customer service is amazing, we were able to book out the whole upstairs area for our larger party. Liam even leant us his own personal speaker to play our own tunes should we want to! Always amazing customer service from one of the bar managers heather (who happens to make the best long islands I’ve ever had!) bar snacks also available if wanted alongside a cocktail...

Decent enough venue, though the one star review is due to the bartender, Ethan. On making my girlfriend a drink, he commented that he wanted to spit in her drink because she 'rolled her eyes' on passing over ID, which did not happen and was a mistake from the bartender to think that this happened - but even still, is a unprofessional reaction to a non-incident. We will not be returning and are disgusted by this. My girlfriend felt unsafe at this bar after...
