Imperial Palace Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Me and my girlfriend were rushed in and placed on a tiny table right next to the bar, I felt like I was in the way as all the staff were constantly walking past and nearly hit the table multiple times. As they were seating us I asked if we could have a different table but I was told "too busy" by the time we left only one more party had arrived for a meal. The staff were some of the rudest people I've ever met, with snarky comments and nasty looks all the time we were there. They spent most of the time stood behind us laughing and they were the reason my meal was ruined. The menu was rubbish, they didn't offer anything near what a normal Chinese offers and there wasnt any descriptions for any of the choices. The vegi option was poor too. They didn't cater for my girlfriends allergies, it felt like the staff didn't even understand me when I was telling them. I wish I had of reviewed the menu before ordering my drink as I would of gone to maccies, and tbh maccies would have been better. I wouldn't reccomend this restaurant to anyone, I'd go to the far superior crown buffet in Leeds town centre. At least the crown doesn't charge an extra £4 for the duck starter or any chefs specials. If you like staff looking down on you and being ripped off for mediocre food this is the place for you. The satay chicken skewers were quite nice until the sauce went cold. There wasnt enough of it either. If you've got this far I'd quit while you're ahead and go...

I attended this restaurant tonight with high hopes of a lovely meal. It was all you can eat which was exciting and we ordered our starters which were very filling. We asked if when we receive our main and we don’t finish it if it’s possible to wrap it up and take it away and we were met with the rudest interaction ever by the server saying absolutely not and we said so if it’s going to go in the bin we can’t even take it away and they replied no with a very very cheeky expression. The server said speak to the manager and we asked if he could come over and she said we need to go and find him ourselves. The manager’s attitude was even worse and he was so rude to us for asking a simple question and then we asked if we could pay for the food we have eaten to leave and we were told no! So we asked if we can pay for the full meal and just leave as they have been so rude to us and we were ignored and no one approached us to allow us to pay for our meal and we had to go up to the cashdesk ourselves where the manager was standing. He was again very rude to us and took about 15 minutes to ring up our bill which was atrocious. Such a shame because we were looking forward...

Absolutely appalled by the "customer service" i have just received an the Imperial Palace Chinese restaurant! I just called up now to book a table for Monday for a family valentines treat for myself, my husband, my 11 year old and 1 year old. I asked for a table for 3 people and a baby. This was exactly what was said to me " well, will the baby be quiet because its valentines day" I was a bit miffed but I said, yes, she will be fine. They asked what time and I requested 6pm to then be told would 5.30 work so we could get in before it gets busy! I said, yes, fine and left my name. I put the phone down and thought about it for a minute and thought, actually, no! Why should we spend our hard earned money there when I was basically made to feel like my baby is unwelcome there. So I called back and told them was appalled and canceled my booking. No apology or anything. He in fact sounded pretty pleased I canceled.
