Island Oasis Coffee Shop — Restaurant in England

First ever time I've been to Lindisfarne. After being stuck for an extended period in May Bank Holiday traffic, we arrived just after lunch so looked around for some home-cooked food. Although all of the Pubs looked tempting after the long hot drive, the seafood on offer didn't do it for me (I don't like seafood - nothing against the pubs). We looked in at the 'Island Oasis Coffee Shop' as they offered pretty much everything you could possibly want after a journey... Meat pies, sausage rolls, salads, toasties, ciabatas, baked potatos, etc... All fairly priced, unlike some places I've been, and service with a smile... There was a bit of delay with the food (to be expected on Bank Holiday Monday) and I mistakenly took someone else's order (which I insisted on paying for although we were told 'no charge'), but when it arrived it was cooked to perfection. Bit of a disappointment. The breakfast wasn't great quality but the worst thing was the tea. We got a pot of tea for two and instead of one large pot we got two standard pots. After drinking the first we found the second only had water in it, no tea bags. When we told the staff they said it's meant to be like that, and you take the used tea bag out the first pot and put it in the second pot of what is now luke warm water. It was the weakest tea I've ever tasted. How cheap is that to make you reuse teabags. And they could at least say so you don't realise once the water is...

Don't be put off if all the outside tables are full - there are plenty of tables inside too. We had two packs of sandwiches and a pot of tea for two (which came with an extra pot of hot water). My sandwich was egg mayo and tomato on white bread. It was really tasty. It cost £10 for the two sandwich packs and tea, which might seem a bit expensive but we did sit inside and used the toilets as well. There were lots of delicious looking traybakes available too.
