The Island Shack — Restaurant in England

The sandwich was just a middle of the road cheese sandwich, fresh bread and salad, nothing wrong, nothing spectacular, just a bite for lunch. The burgers looked delicious but it was too hot for me to want to try one.

The reason I'm reviewing is because of the service the two ladies working yesterday gave. It was roasting hot and they were flying round that tiny kitchen, cooking multiple burgers, sausages, chips etc for visitors. They were really busy, working hard and still trying their best to smile and give a great experience. Well done ladies, you did yourselves proud!

Appalling speed of service. Over an hour wait to order, two people working, but no organisation to the business, both leaving the counter to make each order after it was placed, meaning the rest of the queue have to wait for the previous food to be prepared. Disappointing, as they had also run out of several things which were still displayed on the menu, but you were unable to find this out until you reached the front of the queue. Absolutely zero detail anywhere about when this place is open. We were on the island Saturday 19th July, and expected it to be open. Start of summer, and a Saturday. But it was closed, with no signs of when it may or may not be open. We even went back later to see if it opened later due to tide times, but it was closed at 1.30ish still
