I went here of a weekday after a busy day at work and my gosh it was stunning! The staff are instantly to your attention as soon as you enter the restaurant and are the most kind and helpful staff. The food is unreal and such good Indian and I’ve been here a couple times before and every time without fail, food and staff are on point and consistently performing at their best. The value for food as an Indian is very good considering how good the food is at a reasonable price for the quantity and quality. The restaurant is very comfortable and in a calming and relaxing environment with a audience that is not to loud or to quite it is just perfect for you to feel that you are in a sociable environment while enjoying your time and talking to each other without shouting. Booked a table for dinner as we were staying at the Premier Inn nearby & wanted a good curry within walking distance of the hotel. We were not disappointed. Even booking the restaurant was handled in a friendly & professional manner. They told us that they do not serve alcohol but that we could bring our own without any surcharge. When we arrived we were greeted immediately & shown to our table. The food was amazing & the service so friendly & professional. Their naan bread is the lighest I have eaten anywhere & their onion barjee's were beautifully crunchy on the outside & soft inside without being greasy. It was our first visit to Joy as we are visiting the area on holiday. I believe where I come from in the North west has a very high standard of Indian restaurants however we cannot speak high enough about Joy. Between 4 of us we had Chicken Tikka and mixed kebab starters which were fantastic. The chicken was incredibly tender. We followed on with Chicken Tikka Dopiaza, Chicken Tikka Saag and Butter Chicken. All 3 dishes were of the best taste we have had in many years, the food was genuinely that good, along side that the portions were also very big.
