I visited the KFC drive-thru at Swindon Leisure – Greenbridge Retail Park recently, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
I placed a simple order for a 2-piece chicken meal and made a polite and specific request: no chicken legs, as I really wanted chicken thighs. I even repeated my request kindly to make sure it was understood. The staff didn’t seem very engaged or attentive, but I hoped they would still get it right.
When I got home and opened the box, I was really frustrated to see that they had given me two chicken legs—exactly what I asked them not to include. It’s not a complicated request, and it was clear that they either didn’t care to listen or weren’t paying any attention at all. It feels like they just threw in whatever was convenient without any regard for customer satisfaction.
To make things worse, there were no napkins or tissues in the bag either. For a takeaway meal, that’s just basic service. It shows a lack of care and attention to detail.
I’m really disappointed because I had hoped for a quick and easy meal, and instead, I came home feeling let down. Not even a smile or a friendly attitude from staff could have made up for this poor level of service—and unfortunately, there wasn’t any of that either.
KFC is supposed to be a treat, but this visit felt like a waste of time and money. I won’t be returning to this branch again. If such simple requests can’t be handled with care, it says a lot about how little they value...
Read moreBOYCOT!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered through the KFC app (deliveroo delivers it) received one box meal and not the other but received the drink for the meal. Called up and spoke to the ‘manager’ explained the situation and was asked to come to the restaurant to get a replacement, which I didn’t really want to do as we had paid for delivery, if I wanted to go through the drive through I would have. Because I wanted what I paid for I drove there to be told that the manager wants to check the cctv and to park out the front (bear in mind we have just been told to drive there to get a replacement). So we parked at the front, waited for 15 minutes and the manager still hadn’t come out, so I called up again and the manager said that they had reviewed the CCTV and they definitely put the two box meals in the bag. He implied that either we were lying or the deliveroo driver had taken it. We said why would we go through all off this for a box meal if we had received it and asked how can it be deliveroo when the bag was sealed shut with a sticker. I asked to see the CCTV of the staff member packing the food but was refused. Staff and manager are incompetent. We visited this drive through last week after a busy day out, thinking it would be a quick and easy option we placed our order and joined the que to pay. This was where the waiting began, there was only 3 cars in front of us but each order seemed to be taking longer and longer. A random window to the side of us randomly opened decided to open and take out payment and this is where the confusion for our order began. When we finally got to the window at the front we were asked to pay again and we said we payed behind and they gave us our order is was a completely different order, we flagged this up straight away and handed it back and the staff stood around looking at each other and the computer trying to work out what went wrong, wrong order was chucked to the side and eventually 10 mins or so later we finally get the right order, girl at the window looked like she would rather be anywhere else but at the drive through and gave us a half arsed apology , would never visit again based on the ridiculously long wait and the wrong order being given.
