Lariwala — Restaurant in England

Im hoping that what I had delivered was an anomoly, as all the other reviews seems to be great. I ordered through deliveroo and dont live too far away. Everything was cold and had to be reheated (rice therefore not good and puri were like cardboard before I tried to revive them). The chips were cold and a small portion. I do not know the names of indian dishes, hence ordering a Thali for the variety, but I googled one thing and it appears to be a piece of sponge cake - their pictures shows it as this - I got what can only be described as crumbs in a pot there was no "piece" of cake. Is this usual? I dont know. I like to experience new foods, hence trying these. The "cake" tasted nice however. I did really enjoy a pea and corriander curry, that was lovely, very tasty. It may have been that I just got what was left, rather than recooking / fresh cooking, as I ordered about 16:30 and it said last order 17:00. so maybe that was the explanation. I often order food from further away and it arrives hot. which left me a bit disappointed as something do not reheat well. In terms of the amount of food in the Thali, for the price it is good value. Had takeaway and it was awful. Not fresh, missed items, no flavour. Some was inedible. Even the tub of onion was rotten, bhel was a joke (just a box of puffed rice and a chutney pot) and Mumbai sandwich looked nothing like the pictures and was tasteless. I'm worried to try the sweaty stale rice so that is going in...

Tried out the puri shak after a friend of mine recommended it to me....I have to say it was lovely and fresh and great value for money. The owner was very pleasant and even offered me a chai cutting while I was waiting for my food. Will definitely come back again to try the chana...
