Delicious Corner — Restaurant in England

On my many travels to Leicester I keep on seeing Delicious Corner. I decided that I would make some time and give this place a try.

Headed inside, it was a little bit busy and then it was my turn to order. When I asked the young man at the cashier for Green Tea, he says we don’t do Green Tea. Despite it was still written on the menu above his head. I pointed this out to him and he says “I don’t know why its still written there”. For me red flag 🚩no.1.

So I decided to get a normal type of tea, a savoury bread crumbed chicken roll and a slice of chocolate cake. The food was ok to good.

Red flag 🚩no.2 for me was that the entire seating/dining area was not clean and tidy. There was many rubbish piles left on the tables and a whole lot of bits of food on the floor.

This is evident to me that the staff and management do not clean this cafe/bakery on a regular basis. (please see the photos attached this review)

When this place first opened some number of years ago the food was outstanding and you would want to go back for more BUT as time has gone by the quality of the food has deteriorated. I had a chicken lasagne recently and it was bulked out with "Baked Beans"... Yes that's right, baked beans and very little chicken filling. Everything has gone down hill recently. I don't know if it is a change of cooks or the cost of materials gone up so to keep the price steady they are cutting back on the quality (shame really as I used to like this place, but not anymore). Anyway I can definately say one thing has been consistent throughout and there has been very little or no change and that is the older man who usually serves at the counter. His lack of smile, greeting, enthusiasm and customer service has remained the same.... so well done for keeping one thing, the terrible quality of your customer service, the same...

delicious? seriously do you even eat your own food? it's like a wrong put jigsaw puzzle. none of the foods taste right. I think low quality products are used here. cobs taste very dry, crumbly and stale. I nearly choked because I was so high and I had dry mouth but I only had 2 quid so I was hungry aswell so I bought food and yeah I nearly choked. staff are so rude and asked to see my I.d for a packet of crisps. I only wanted ready Salted not salt and vinegar. I asked for coke and got Pepsi, they said it's the same thing. no it's not. I cant snort Pepsi. trust me, the interior of the place looks some India dhaba, need redecorating, rejuvenating, reinforcement, reinstallation, and recruitment. I can give lessons for good manners, it's free because manners cost nothing and bad ones do cost. costs reputation and business. 1 star is too much for this place. it's better of being a...
