Summary Experience summed up in 3 words: Mediocre / Underwhelming /Disappointing
Detail: Went on Friday 28 July 2023 around 9pm. Same as guys who served at DFC across the road. DFC has the greasiest chicken I've had in my life and I was hoping they wouldn't be cutting corners here.
No1) They had an offer mentioned on the leaflet, 2 regular boxes for 7.50 or 2 large boxes for £10 on a Tuesday or Friday. Great value right? Then after I waited half an hour, the guy with the curly hair says to everyone in the queue, "we don't have large boxes and offers are finished". Really poor. It's the first time I've seen a shop fail to deliver on their promotions.
Nevertheless, price was still decent and I had committed so proceeded to wait half an hour in the queue. The next part i found even worse. As they have an open kitchen and can see the metal food containers in their various compartments, i saw the guys put fried chicken straight in the separate compartments in the limited sauce. Normally, chicken is placed in in the wok, heated and tossed for flavour with the sauce. They literally just popped plain fried chicken in containers, stirred it a couple of times and served it to customers. This perhaps explains why there was next to no difference between the Malaysian chicken, teriyaki chicken and Manchurian chicken - probably because they were just putting fried chicken in the containers without letting the chicken absorb the flavours of the different sauces. Portion sizes weren't great either. Poor.
Positives All that said, it's a fiver for a regular. Taste is ok, definitely not bad. Quick, efficient service. Place looks nice. We're only human and love hype so if that's what you want, enjoy.
Alternative I'd probably say, its better to go Spicy Wok Express on Charles Street and pay a little more. You'll have people who use fresh ingredients at a good price with great flavours and good...

If you’re craving bold Indo-Chinese flavours, generous portions, and great value, Noodle Village in Leicester is a must-try. Tucked along the ever-busy Green Lane Road, this casual halal noodle spot punches well above its weight.
I ordered their regular build-your-own box — opting for Schezwan noodles and egg fried rice, topped with Hot & Tangy Chicken and Paneer 65. The flavours were spot on: spicy, savoury, and incredibly satisfying. The portion size was more than generous — easily enough for two meals or one very hungry diner!
What stood out most was the balance of spice and sweetness, especially in the chicken. The paneer was crispy on the outside and soft inside, just how it should be. They didn’t skimp on sauce either, so every bite was loaded with flavour.
Service was fast and friendly, and I liked the clean, open-kitchen layout — you can watch your food being made fresh. It’s clear they take hygiene seriously, and the place felt well-maintained.
it’s worth grabbing a table if you can. This is comfort food done right, with options that cater to vegetarians and spice...
Read moreI came by a few days ago with my mom, was first time for me to eat here. Was served by someone called yaarsi, he was very attentive and provided a good service. Even though I had ordered 5 different boxes on 5 different times in a space of 20 mins.
Yaasir provided a good service to me and was very patient. My mom wanted to try some of the different toppings to see the spice levels. Yaasir had allowed my mom to try it, now I know a lot of food places don't do that so I definatly appreciate what he did. Which allowed us to pick the foods right for us.
Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. They had apologised for the wait of the food, even tho it wernt their fault they was still good.
Food - delicious Staff - friendly Atmosphere - good Food portion - excellent
Would definatly go again and order more food.. Great...
