Longs Fish & Chips — Restaurant in England

Stayed at a touring site a few miles outside of Bridport, I went into town to find a fish and chip bar and came across Longs on West St. Order chicken and chips twice, paid £10.50. After a period of time I was given two bags each containing Chicken and chips which I opened back at the site. The chips I must confess were very good, but the Chicken was absolutely appalling. It was dry, colourless and after a few bites discovered it was also tasteless. I have never come across “takeaway food” as bad as this so called chicken anywhere. A serious lack of customer service when ordering a holiday family treat lead to distinctively average fish and chips. More than one black chip in the bag accompanied by dry cod and a mushy lump of what I can only guess were the peas. Very poor indeed.

To save on future inappropriate screeches from the back room on the number of people allowed in the shop at any time, I would suggest putting up legible signs in the doorway to keep willing customers in the know. We were passing through Bridport during a ride back to Cornwall from Gatwick Airport. We fancied Fish and Chips .We rang Longs as they were the first to pop up on Google. The lady was really nice and said the food would be ready in 10mins. We called in and fish and chips were done. We went back to our car to eat them. What a disappointment.
