I've been a regular user of this fine establishment since the Day it opened and the Beers were always brilliantly chosen and superbly kept, it changed hands a couple of years ago and many regulars were concerned it would go down hill, Personally I wasn't too impressed for the first few months of the new ownership, however things seem to be back to business as usual, thank goodness, 6 Cask Ales, 4 Kegs One of which is Bristol Beer Factories excellent 0.05% Clear Head, + Ciders, A Decent Wine Selection and a Fridge stocked with some great Cans, One little thing I like is they charge less for takeaway Cans than drink in! Too many hipsters and too many people I can’t be bothered to have a conversation with out of not being rude the place has no character. I could polish my boots by merely rubbing my shoe against the wall - something they’d happily kick you out for which you just wouldn’t get in a classic pub. Nice selection of ales sure but not an authentic place in which to drink them in. Rub the paint off, install a blood stain in the ceiling and a horrible smelling carpet on the floor to create a real pub feeling. I wish this pub and the owners...
Read moreWe've been popping into this pub everytime we've been camping in Eype & have always had a pleasant drink/experience..but not today...maybe I'm not groovy or millennial enough.. but got welcomed ,sat ,then ignored and after futilely trying to catch the attention of the hipster to engrossed in his phone to attend to our needs we decided to leave.. When he decided to look up with a cheery wave and a see you later guys.. Doubt that very much a shame really as I like and try to use micropubs as much as possible but It must be an age thing ..so if you haven't got a waxed moustache or a funky hat...
