Me and my partner came in this morning to have breakfast before work and I was utterly disappointed with my experience at this place. Upon coming to this diner we searched on google where we should eat and seeing the good reviews and tasty photos I was quite excited to eat here but was left feeling like I wasted my money and feeling disappointed. Despite it being Christmas time and it being fairly busy they said we could sit at a table till 11am for a booking which is fair, and was happy they made room for us. But from then it went downhill. The first woman who took our order was kind. They got our drinks wrong which I didn’t mind, mistakes are made and can’t be helped. The woman that gave us our drinks was incredibly rude and when I asked for our correct drinks she rolled her eyes as if she doesn’t get paid to work there. After she came and gave us our food. Missing out some of my breakfast which I had to ask for again. This waitress was incredibly rude giving customers dirty looks and not caring at all, I felt like an inconvenience asking for the correct food and drinks and even apologised for it and she did not care at all. I understand it’s a busy time and times can be stressful but I myself work in a pub and I understand the pressure but it costs no money to be kind and do your job. The only part that I enjoyed was the French toast but still wasn’t worth my money or time. I won’t be coming here again and wouldn’t advise anyone else unless you want to feel like an inconvenience to the people...
Read moreWe chose the wrong table… near the door. A couple of 2 seater tables became available and I asked to move. When the Manager who looked stressed said if we moved, would have to vacate new table at 11.15 am. I said that was ok but challenged her over a previous request. She continued to be rude and unhelpful. eg“it’s my place and I can do as I want” Once we moved, she then came over and swopped the signs on our new table. Original sign said 12 noon to 11.15am!! She then told us “she was good at managing tables.” I would refute this. At 11.25 she came over removed sign said we could stay, and then remonstrated with my friend further. Unbelievable as we were still eating. What should have been a relaxing lunch turned into an uncomfortable experience. After paying the bill I attempted to give her both positive and negative feedback to which she responded “only 2 disappointed customers.” I think the last comment by her sums it up. Definitely no customer empathy/awareness. Every customer should be important. I would not...
Read moreAs a follow up to my review, I would like to point out that you have not, in fact, as the Owner, spoken to me. I did not pay the bill. There was no interaction opportunity with you. Based on your response, I can see that, instead of probing what actually happened, you choose to blame the customer. The approach of your member of staff is indicative of your approach now, hostile and impolite. If you as a business really don't want honest, accurate, polite, well meaning feedback, then why ask for it? I also note that you don't address food leaving the kitchen in an inedible condition. Or that you don't get it right sometimes. Perhaps overseeing quality might resolve that, or alternatively accept the feedback you ask for when things aren't satisfactory. Being over protective in business is counter productive to growth and development. A...
