South African run Thai takeaway in Macclesfield.

We ordered a takeaway of pad Thai and Panang curry after a long hike, so we were excited to try somewhere new.

The food was ready very quickly (15 mins) and the prices were fairly reasonable.

However the food was unfortunately quite disappointing - the Panang Curry's flavour was quite muted and lacked depth. It tasted very plain and you couldn't taste any lemon grass or specific herbs. It tasted like the coconut milk had been watered down. The beef quality was good however.

The pad Thai was just okay also, the noodles were very soft and mushy and it lacked acidity, such as from lime juice.

Moreover, the Jasmine rice was claggy and overcooked which was a shame as we ordered two portions.

We struggled to even finish our meal, despite our hunger after our hike, which was unusual for us as Thai is our favourite cuisine.

Unfortunately I don't think I would return here as the meal didn't meet expectations and there are more flavourful options in Macclesfield. However the manager was friendly...

Took my son here for a birthday meal and loved it. I've only rated the food 4 stars because I felt there were plenty things missing from a usual Thai menu that weren't here and it felt more like a cross fusion with a Chinese. The service was great and the owner was lovely with plenty of good chat and care in his attentiveness. The atmosphere was slightly dulled due to us being there so early and it being opened for operations after closure for three days in Christmas. The restaurant was recommended to us, Owner couldnt really be bothered from the minute we walked in, lots of empty tables but made a big fuss of us getting a table for 2, ordered drinks & had to share a bottle between us because there was only 1 cold one.
