The Society Rooms - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in England

I came here to have a nice Relaxing Drink & a bite to eat with my Girlfriend but, having Ordered a Pint of Abbots Ale on their App, 15 Minutes had gone by & still no Pint. When I went to the Bar & mentioned that I still hadn't received my Pint, the 2 Women behind the Bar were dead Useless, especially the 1 who eventually Served me. Real Ale is supposed to be poured 75% of the way up then left to Settle before filling it to the Pint Line. The Women poured it carelessly leaving about 3 Inches of Head on it. I took it back and said to her, "That's Not a proper Pint but, she gave me such an Ignorant look which made me realise, I will never come back to this Wetherspoon's again. It is by far, the worst Wetherspoon's I have ever been in. To all that reads this Review but, decide to frequent this place, don't bother as the Staff were so Ignorant & totally Disorganised. Never gonna come here again. The Woman who served me today with the White Hair was dead Rude, Ignorant & extremely Snotty with the Ignorant attitude she portrayed. How the Hell did she Blag her way into getting accepted for a Job there is...

Have been to the Society Rooms a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The food has always been decent and service reasonable but this time the wait for the food was shocking. Ordered the soup of the day which took forever to come but as always was lovely but the wait for the mains took approx 1 hour. We had ordered a large mixed grill and a vegetable lasagne. The shift leader was asked were the order was about 4 times each time he gave us an update ie we were 3rd in the queue or they were waiting for the sausages. He gave us a couple of drinks as a way of an apology for the wait. When the food finally came it wasn't even hot. To top it all there was no loo roll in one of the ladies toilets. Sorry but we won't be back...

always loved going to weather spoons, however i was disappointed when i went on the 6/9/2020 i haven't been in since the pandemic and it was disappointing to see that although they have hand sanitizers and a notice board about social distancing and how to be etc but to come across that most tables have not been cleaned down once someone had left . it wasn't so busy when we went not many people in but some tables had plates left which is understandable but the staff were only clearing the tables and not spray and wiping them down . i expected a bit more cleanliness with everything thats going on at the minute with COVID . sad to say i wont be going again. felt...
