Malthouse — Restaurant in England

Went last night. Friday night, very busy and I understand the staff were under pressure. I’ve worked in pubs like this before. I was sympathetic for the first half hour stood at the bar, but as I watched at least 5 people who had come up to the bar not a couple minutes prior were being served before us as we were actively ignored. Eventually I resorted to putting my hand up and begging for service, ignored for another ten minutes before a bartender snapped “Doing that isn’t going to make us f-ing serve you.” So, I put my hand down. Waited another ten minutes quietly hopeful. Ignored, ignored, ignored. After an hour, my Friend and I decided to just leave, disappointed at not getting to drink but also Glad we hadn’t put any money into this establishment. I’m sure this place is very nice, and the workers were under pressure but I don’t think I did anything that warranted that kind of response...

Wow! What a fantastic first evening in Thornbury! I stumbled upon this gem of a bar and had an amazing time. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends. The staff, including Gabby, provided exceptional service, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of.
