Thai Basil — Restaurant in England

6 of us went to Thai Basil tonight to celebrate my friend special birthday, comfortable easy location with free parking.

My experience at Thai Basil exceeded my generalized expectations, especially the chef adjusted the spiciness for myself which I super appreciated

The manager Imelda and Preeya served us whom went OVER and BEYOND they both gave us a 5 Star hotel attentive services, their services was impeccable, not too much trouble at all, extremely friendly, calm and very polite staff, delicious hot foods - Tom Kha with Prawns, Pad Poh Tak and Pad Thai with Prawn were among my favorites, but there were plenty of dishes to choose.

Chocolate Birthday Cake with candles on the house was a surprise for my friend, thank you Thai Basil, really appreciated your effort.

We all really enjoyed it tonight, now we are deciding to book our friend next birthday meal in December in your restaurant again.

EDIT: Decided to give them another chance and did not regret. From 1 star to 5. Inside is really nice atmosphere, the waitresses very pleasant and took great care of us. Food was super amazing, tasty and huge portions. Since my first experience, I have been already few times at Thai Basil and order at least once a month food collection and very happy customer now.

REPLY: the given review wasn't because you couldn't accommodate us, it happens. The one star rating was given for the unacceptable rudeness of the woman who called us to tell that you don't have availability anymore.

Didn’t get to go to the restaurant. Made a reservation online and 3 hours before was called by a rude woman saying that I could have the table for 2 hours from 5 pm instead 7 pm as booked. When I said it’s too early for me, she replied so sorry and hang up on me...

I love Thai food and l always order takeout from this restaurant. The last few months l have been met with not so friendly welcome sometimes even aggressive and disrespectful waving hand “we are very busy”. Please if you can’t sale takeaway during your busy time just put a sign on your door or some information on the website. I don’t want to waste my time too. l will get my food from a different place. Telling me every time when l place the order “it’s busy” (when it’s clearly not because other staff member already took my order and checked with the kitchen) is so unprofessional and unpleasant and for other staff member too as this micromanagement undermines the person who works for you.
