I had the pleasure of dining at a delightful new Italian restaurant in Bedford, Marcio's Delicacies . From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The impeccable service made me feel right at home, and I knew it was going to be a fantastic experience. It was evident that the owners had put in a lot of thought and effort to create an authentic Italian dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food! Oh, it was simply outstanding. Each dish had that unmistakable Italian flair, bursting with flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Italy. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the pizzas were adorned with the freshest, most delectable toppings. I could tell that the ingredients were carefully sourced to ensure an authentic taste. In fact, I dare say that this restaurant is as close as we can get to experiencing genuine Italian cuisine without actually being in Italy. Every bite was a delight, and I couldn't help but savor each moment. What made the experience even more special was when the chef himself came to our table to greet us. He was incredibly friendly and passionate about his craft. He eagerly shared stories about his culinary journey and the inspiration behind the dishes. It was evident that he poured his heart and soul into every creation, and his passion translated into every mouthful. All in all, my visit to this new Italian restaurant in Bedford was a resounding success. The outstanding food, attentive service, and the chef's personal touch made it an unforgettable experience. I am already looking forward to my next visit to Marcio's Delicacies , and I highly recommend this gem to anyone who craves an authentic taste of Italy right here...
Read moreToday, I eagerly visited Mario's to celebrate my birthday, drawn by the anticipation of indulging in one of my absolute favorite dishes: calf liver. Having seen enticing pictures of it on their menu, I made sure to book a table for my vegetarian friends who were joining me for the occasion. Despite being new to the castle area, Mario's staff proved to be friendly and accommodating when I visited in person to secure our reservation.
Upon our arrival at 8 pm, our table was ready, and we wasted no time in ordering a bottle of Argentinian wine and a bottle of water to accompany our meal. As a delightful prelude to our main courses, we were presented with a plate of delectable dough cheese balls. These delightful morsels not only looked appealing but also melted in our mouths with their amazing taste.
For our main courses, the ladies opted for the vegetarian risotto and spaghetti aglio e olio, while I savored every bite of my perfectly cooked calf liver. Judging by the clean plates that remained, it was evident that the food surpassed our expectations and left us thoroughly satisfied.
Mario's is a family-run establishment, and their warm hospitality makes you feel right at home. Nestled in the Castles area, it's a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I can't wait to return for more of their honest,...
Read moreMy first visit here for lunch. Now I can't fault the food or service it was top notch and the staff made us welcome. However I would like to make a few suggestions for a more welcoming and enjoyable meal experience, hence the 4 star rating.
We felt cold in the restaurant, and at one stage, the door was left open and customer had to get up and shut the door. On another table the people put their coats on while waiting for their meal! 2 The music was distracting and tinny and coming from the corner of the room. The sound track was not complementary to a lunch time meal. 3 At one stage lound bangging was coming from the kitchen, again not great environment for meal. To me the price of the lunch time menu seemed just a bit expensive, however the food was tasty, but just to say I would not go there for a quick bite for lunch. A number of workmen wandered into the restaurant and to the back of the kitchen??? Perhaps an evening meal will...
