McDonald's Corby- The Peel Centre. — Restaurant in England

Restaurant was quite busy with the eat out to help out going on. But happily greeted at the door with ordering explained. Ordered & took our seats. Again, visited the toilets, wow what a difference to the shocking & dirty Stamford restaurant toilets. Corby toilets immaculately clean. They are operating a one person in & use at a time policy in too. Meal was hot and better standard (burger was practically thrown in the box at Stamford & fries burnt & crisp end bits). Staff very friendly & helpful. Lisa & Amanda. Lovely ladies, even though the restaurant was more or less full, they were very cheerful & chatty. I packed up our rubbish to bin on the way out. They said to leave it on the table & they would clear it. I couldn't! It felt rude, cheeky & to be honest bloody lazy as they have enough on their plates keeping the restaurant clean & tidy especially with covid going on. Happy, cheerful & helpful staff definitely make a huge difference when dining out & they did on our visit. Very clean, cheery & enjoyable visit. Definitely returning. Two reviews of the same chain restaurant, within a week showing that there can be a huge difference between their branches, in food quality, standard of cleanliness & staff attitude & behaviour. The food was okay, it's McDonald's so you know what you're getting. Will never be amazing, but it was fine and for convenient food in a rush it serves it's purpose. What does need a special mention though was the service received. The young dark haired lady who served us was exemplary. She was dressed differently to other staff so not sure if she was a manager or supervisor, but she went above and beyond repeatedly. First she came and asked if my young daughter would like to enter their colouring competition, then she brought us our food and my daughter didn't approve of the toy she received. I went to the counter where the lady was stood and she was excellent, she went out back and found at all the toys they had remaining and let me choose. She also gave me a book containing activities and stickers for my daughter. My daughter was delighted to have a different toy and extras thrown in. Then the last time I saw the member of staff she had spray and cloth in hand wiping down and cleaning up near the bins. I felt compelled to write and acknowledge her excellent service, always friendly and smiling, as it's not often you get treated so well anywhere, let alone it being a McDonald's. I recently visited the McDonald's in Corby, and once again, Kyra Enterprise has delivered an exceptional experience. No matter whether I’m in Corby, Stamford, Huntingdon, St Neots, or Peterborough, I am consistently impressed by the speed of service and the cleanliness of the restaurants.

At the Corby location, I would like to give special recognition to Hannah. Her empathy and friendly demeanor during our interaction at the counter truly stood out. Additionally, I noticed how thoroughly she cleaned the shop floor; while it may seem like a small task to some, it speaks volumes about her commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for customers. Hannah, please keep up the outstanding work—your efforts do not go unnoticed, and I hope your managers appreciate your high standards as much as the customers do.

The restaurant itself is spacious and offers easy access for wheelchairs and strollers, which is a significant plus. Overall, the service was quick and efficient, making for a very pleasant visit.
