(Falmouth branch.) Very nice, fresh, tasty food (Quarter Pounder with Cheese meals) and delicious mocha frappés, with excellent service, and new, attractive décor. The only improvement, particularly for the benefit of the staff, would be to somehow put a stop to all the noisy varieties of overpowering beeping that continually prevail. ‐------------- Update 3 September 2021. What happened! My wife and I took our 4-year-old grandson here a couple of weeks ago, and I think it will be quite a while before we visit again. First, the public eating area has now been reduced by about twenty-five per cent, seemingly to accommodate a staff resting area. Second, in an increasing push to "persuade" customers to do the staff's work by using the long-winded screens to place their own orders, the actual ordering counter has been reduced to an austere affair with one little hole through a perspex screen to which you are compelled to bend down, and which is efficiently designed to effect the most difficulty in communication. Asked what sauce our grandson wanted with his Happy Meal, I requested ketchup. He did receive the ketchup: just one of those little plastic containers which hold about the same amount of ketchup as the amount of toothpaste you would squeeze onto your brush. Number of paper napkins supplied for the three of us: two. When I consider what North American visitors must think of our mean frugality, I feel ashamed to be British. Despite some people's labelling this type of food as "junk," I would argue that McDonald's fare is of excellent quality and very tasty, but I'm afraid that obtaining it is fast surpassing my patience threshold. (And this applies to many establishments now, not just McDonald's—don't get me started on self-service check-outs at the...
Read moreJust recently refurbished to a good standard, however service leaves a lot to be desired. Went through drive-through with family ( wife & 2 boys), voice at end of order point got order wrong bit was corrected. At pay point (probably the same person as at order point) not much of a smile and moaned about the card reader being in the wrong position for customers and him - got to say he was right though. Collected food at next point, young lady was very nice and professional at the same time - great! Drove away and wife checked bag of food - NO fries at all. Went back into restaurant and got fries no problem. Went back to car only to find wifes chicken burger not there either. Back into restaurant but staff did not even bother to look up and ask if there was a problem. Meet and greet girl was very helpful and got a burger very quickly. Went back to car again and left. All in all not the best experience today but hey-ho these things happen. Perhaps a little more training is...
Read moreNever have I had a more horrible experience with a McDonald’s than this one.
Literally every time I get something my order gets messed up with missing or wrong items, sometimes when I order a meal all I get is fries and the drink. It is beyond me how they get something so simple so wrong and to be honest only God knows why I keep going to this place.
Example: I have just ordered a delivery on the official McDonalds app, the chicken nuggets were missing and when I called the restaurant their suggestion was for me to go to the restaurant to collect them? Like ???? I can’t go to the restaurant which is the reason why I paid an extra £4 to get it delivered. They then suggested getting a refund, when I asked how to do that they had no idea?? They suggested calling like McDonalds UK HQ or some crazy thing like that. I ended up calling Uber Eats (who run the delivery) and they’re the ones that refunded me.
This is probably the worst McDonald’s on Earth,...
