Whether you're eating in or going through the drive thru, the wait for service is ridiculous. Before you even get to your food at the other end (and if it's even correct), the wait for any service or acknowledgement takes between 5-7 minutes in the drive thru (I have timed it, because I had nothing better to do while waiting in my car), regardless of whether you've ordered via the MyMcDonalds App or not, which most of the time I do. When they do finally acknowledge your existence and you've placed your order and paid, you end up getting parked up in the car park because your food isn't ready. On average, I have been sat in the bay for an additional 10-15 minutes. Once I've finally received the quick treat, 99% of the time the fizzy drinks are out of syrup, or they taste flat. And the food is either cold, or wrong. Which then means I have to get out my car and then challenge this in the restaurant. I truly wish there was another local mcdonalds, because I tend to enjoy the food they have as a nice treat for myself when I've had a rough day. I've also worked in a mcdonalds in my life, so I know the standards that the restaurant should be held up to. But with the level of service they provide, its a waste of time and I wouldn't recommend going if you want something quick and easy, because I promise you you will be waiting a long time, and odds are your food will be cold,...
Read moreI've visited on many occasions but now i feel compeled to comment. On two recent occasions using the phone app and requesting delivery to yhe allocated parking space. Both times there have been problems. The delivery was wrong or ordered items not available from the store and the app not updated to advertise product absence. The most recent occasion, and I only ordered 4 items. The order was incomplete. I went into the restaurant to bring awareness of the short order and there was no staff at the pass. I could, although see many members of staff chatting amongst themselves occasionally making eye contact with me but not taking the initiative to ask if I was ok or if they could help. The queue behind me building in length. When help eventually came the person must of had some issue with listening skills, because he couldn't understand the statement "the fries in my order are missing, here is my receipt to show the order" I must have repeated this five times before success was achieved. I don't think I'm the only one with issues here. As I was making my way back to my car, fries in hand. There was a Woman and family and she was raging her complaint on the phone, in the middle of the carpark. Please sort yourselves out, it's supposed to...
Read moreThis is not just a dig at McDonald’s in Pool but pretty much all McDonald’s I’ve been to in the past year.
McDonald’s is no longer fast food and customer like myself who use the drive thru or sit in have seem to have been forgotten about. It seems to be all about delivering fast food service to the Uber/just eat drivers who come in and getting them in and out as quick as possible whilst I’m left waiting for 15-20 most of the time waiting for my food.
The past three times (one being today) I have used the drive thru at Pool I have been told to park up and someone will bring my food over. Yes I understand it can be busy etc but one of these times was only for a happy meal. The other two times we are waiting 15-20 minutes for food to come and I always ask is everything in the bag which they say yes. I get home to find items missing each time and it’s not worth my time and effort to drive back and get my missing items that I have paid for.
I’m not asking for much but please can you make sure all items are with the order and to look after the customers (provide fast food service) who are responsible for getting McDonald’s to where they are today instead of just looking after the Uber/just...
