Made it the mistake of giving this place a fourth chance. And been waiting 20 mins for order from drive through. Google says no to busy at 18.15 I can tell the queue for those waiting for orders to be full filled is at least 8 cars. And car full and long queues in restaurant. This place needs closing down as it is terrible service. And Google we need to be able to give no stars as unfull filled orders is not a service at all.
This is the third different review i have given on this place and each one has had less stars. I feel there should be the ability to give no stars as this place is exceptionally poor and the worse experience i have encountered any where.
Shocking!! gets orders wrong, and I don't mean once or twice!! I mean everytime!!! Even when quiet and often sold out of things like burgers or can't offer medium meals or the person serving doesn't know how. to operate the order station? Management and staff don't care and don't pay attention and are rude (twice found the person in drive tru using their phone.)
I do wonder what other things are slipping like food hygiene and management of the cold chain. It should be inspected by Trading Standards, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene. As getting the simple things wrong are often a sign in my experience of important issues also not being adhered to.
It's also over reliant on Tech, not everyone likes a computer for service and uses a small service hatch area. which is very crowded at times And using the McDonalds APP is no guarantee for them to get your order right. And why has drive thru been closed on a couple occasions when resturant open?
Why aren't they giving out packaging with Monopoly game as advertised online and TV when theres a poster placed right in front of the resturant and drive thru?
Highly recommend when using the A303 use Sparkford McDonalds which is much better or Wincanton (which is not that great) or if really desperate the Burger King Opposite.
How can it be improved? Sack all the People employed including Managers and start from scratch. It has never been right from opening. I also think the idea of cooking upstairs has created a break down in communication and lacks the motivation needed, and needs to be moved downstairs. Personally i would demoliish and replace...
Read morenone of the staff here are friendly, maybe a couple at most, they got our order wrong, twice, and on the second time i returned it - politely pointing out they had got it wrong again - the staff in the back, started shaking their heads and complaining very obviously about the fact we had returned again,
the first was a simple mistake, no happy meal toy, and a burger with an ingredient we asked for it not to have, and on returning, they gave us a toy, and some extra nuggets. but proceeded to again, give us the wrong burger, we went back in, and politely tried to point it out, i work in a similar food industry, so i understand mistakes happen, but their attitude upon me making my request was absolutely disgusting, they were all too busy complaining about previous customers bad reviews, and the fact i had returned. one staff member approached the counter while actively chewing gum with her mouth open, with saliva flying out onto a customers tray of food.
there was rubbish all over the floor where they were preparing food, which, again working in a food place i understand mess happens, but with so many staff members, i’m sure somebody could’ve picked it up.
by the time our order was amended, all of our other food had gone cold and drinks melted (which were only half filled anyways)
another note to mention is that the man next to me was missing his Big Mac, and on giving it to him, with his drinks, nobody gave him any straws, or acknowledged him asking for them, so i reached around the counter and got them for him myself since the staff clearly weren’t capable,
don’t get me wrong i’ve had good experiences at this mcdonald’s, but these new staff have me questioning whether i...
Read moreHappy to hear a McDs had been built further along the A303, we'd never been able to get parked at Sparkford so never been. It makes for a good breakfast start to the long journey home, at least that we thought. What a disaster. For somewhere that's not been open long it looks worn around the edges already. The entrance road is between two parts of the motor home showroom and easily missed. Think it could be hard to park if it was busy, as the car park is not very big, but it wasn't busy. No WiFi signal so impossible to order at the table. One of the self serve kiosks was not working properly so had to use another. No number pyramids (no stands for them) so make a note of your table number if you want table service. Had to wipe our own table. After a fair wait (fast food?) order arrived, despite pressing eating in, the food was delivered in a bag, waste of resources and makes a mockery of McDonalds "green" credentials. No worries about using cup tray though, they arrived in the crook of his arm. Coke with ice, ordered without, and two toffee lattes without the cream were returned, again brought to the table in the crook of his arm. Lattes again without cream, really? Our third attempt was correct. Asked if carrying drinks like that was correct and didn't they have trays? All I can surmise is that insufficient training and weak management are the order of...
