not very busy which is surprising because they always seem to be out of something on the menu! it's either fizzy drinks, milkshakes, certain lattes not available; they were even out of beef (!!!) on one visit here... The only plus side to this McDonalds is that it is 24 hr, however, it seems that after 11 pm/12 am they switch their staff out for their F grade staff... I ordered late one night and the member of staff at the window was blowing her nose and sniffing something back down her throat and i saw her tucking her used tissue into her short sleeved T shirt before passing me my small latte ( I had ordered a large) which I couldn't drink due to the grease around the lid of it! The fries are always cold and under cooked, limp and floppy. I arrived here late another night, it was about 4.30 am, only to find that they had stopped serving the regular menu and had decided to start the breakfast menu early (no doubt due to having no burger buns or something just as shocking)
Rather than run the gauntlet of using this McDonald's I now travel the 11 miles to Andover where not only do the staff know basic hygiene skills IE/ how to wear gloves, use the restroom etc ... but they also know how to order in enough frozen produce, how to heat it so it is all hot when you get given it and how to give you your meal without contaminating it with grease and grime from the kitchen! Not only this but no matter what time of the night/morning it is the staff in Andover always appear bright, cheerful, smiling and happy to see their customers. Despite both McDonald's being on the same stretch of the A303 the Andover branch are cheaper and even give you more food. When I ordered the cheese melts at Solstice park I was disappointed to find only 4 (!) in the bag... when ordered at Andover they were not only a few pence cheaper There was also 2 more in the bag! no doubt the ... staff? ... at Solstice Park had helped themselves to a couple (being so hungry due to the length of time it takes them to...
Read moreWhen I spoke with the employee at the register to replace a coke that tasted off. I was given a long excessive chat about no one else complaining about it, the flawless machine process and aparantely no employee would ever mistakenly not mark the top to a diet coke (which is what it tasted like to me). She kept telling me she could replace it, and when I stated 'yes that would be helpful' the employee once again repeated her excessive chat. This process was repeated 3 times until I finally walked away and dumped my coke in the bin in frsutration as that was easier than getting the coke I paid for. It shouldnt take 10 min of repetitive statements to resolve this type of issue. It made for a sour finish to what was otherwise a good experience. The food was fresh and well presented, it looked magazine perfect. The cooking staff should be proud! The people who were serving the tables were also lovely and helpful. As was the manager when I took the time to mention the experience before I left. I hope the employee is provided the necessary training to improve her customer service skills.
And perhaps have your soft drink machine checked. If you insist there is no possible user error, it could be that the carbonation is off, or the machine needs to be cleaned. Something made that coke not...

I tried to order food for me and my friend on the app However this didn't work due to there being a technical error which was fine, so I went up to the till and ordered everything exactly as it was on my mobile order. Not only was most of the order wrong by opened my wrap which had only two pieces of chicken and nothing else in it . Bearing in mind I had ordered a crispy Caesar wrap. I went up to the front and explained the order was wrong (they made the wrong Burger, put chips in the meal instead of salad, gave me the wrong drink and messed up my wrap) and I was told by a lovely employee called India that the order was in fact not wrong and that was exactly what I ordered even though it wasn't. I can deal with the order not being right and the order being corrected but I was in no way okay with being gaslit and found this extremely triggering. I explained that I wanted to speak to the manager and the same lady then agreed to make the correct wrap that I ordered. I've honestly never seen such rude service in my life and will never ever go to this...
