McDonald's — Restaurant in England

I have given 5* to this macdonalds based on the service I recieved on Saturday 27th July! I even took a note of the name badge. I don't believe I have ever been in a macdonalds and been asked how my food was, whilst eating. And that was a great touch to the experience. The young gentleman went over to every table and asked too. And then came out and handed all the children balloons. I'm not from Scarborough as we was visiting for the weekend with my young daughter and was on a 3 hour trip home. The young gentleman's name was Scott, as I noted this in my notes on my phone to remind me to give a great review so he can get the recognition he deserves. I wouldn't get that type of experience in any macdonalds around here. I also tried to get the other lady's name that he was working with, but I didn't manage to see this. But this lady was also great. I spent 5 minutes getting sand out of my daughters hands and feet in the toilet, and made quite a few puddles in the toilet, so I asked for a mop as I was happy to mop this myself, so it wasn't an inconvenience for anyone else using the toilet to slip. The lady was lovely and had a nice chat to us, and asked us how our visit was in Scarborough.

It's a shame I didn't catch her name, but also great service from her. I assume looking at the rota and the date I wrote above, it could easily be found out so this lady could also recieve recognition she also deserves. Great customer service on the floor, well done!

I do have to point one thing out though, when I first entered the store, I asked one of the young lady's behind the counter whether I could have a small cup please, and she looked at me oddly and said we done have any. So I laughed as I thought she was joking. To realise she wasn't, so i explained I needed one for my daugher, in which she gave me one. Not sure what this was about. But despite this great customer service...

Went with my niece for lunch, fries were warm and not the best and my quarter pounder with cheese was barely warm so I mentioned this to a member of staff who stood in front of me and felt the burger like I was making this up! Said member of staff said they would get me a new one.

In between this my niece had finished her happy meal and wanted an ice cream so I ordered this and waited at the till to collect, when collecting the ice cream I thought I’d mention the Quarter Pounder burger I was supposed to be getting, after all it had been 25 minutes since I’d taken my barely warm one to the counter to complain. I retrieved my order and 5 minutes later my burger came but by this time after waiting almost 30 minutes I was past eating of which I almost walked out because I was waiting so long!

Scarborough drive through you really need to sort this out, I have spoken with friends who again have expressed the same concerns about barely warm food been served.

I use the Bridlington drive through and don’t experience this issue so please take this review on board, the restaurant wasn’t even busy so I’m not sure why I was served food that was barely warm the fries weren’t much better if I’m honest.

Don't think I have ever had a correct order come out of this McDonald's. Watching four cars go through the lane next to me without even being told sorry for the wait in my own lane was rather frustrating. Assuming there was an issue with the intercom I moved to the next lane and got told to wait - fine. By the time I was able to give my order there were no cars Infront of me right to the end window, I thought my luck was changing.... I was wrong. Workers there today seem very rude, either that or scared of talking to people (except the girl who took the payment - she was ok). Also, I can't remember the last time I didn't have cold stale chips from this particular McDonald's either. Really enjoyed eating my cold dry nuggets too -wasnt offered sauce. Funny part is, I was waiting for ages for the food so I have no idea how It came out cold, I assumed it was being cooked fresh. It is a real shame to be honest, it isn't every McDonald's but this one in particular gets it wrong more than it...
