McDonald's — Restaurant in England

Out of all McDonalds restaurants I've been to, this one probably has the lowest amount of professionalism among the staff.

I had various issues with them. For example, they got my order wrong couple of times. Also, on several occasions, it took very long time for my order to be served, despite full kitchen and not many customers. However, the staff doesn't have a problem joking around in front of the waiting customers.

I used the drive thru service today. When I got to the payment window, I couldn't make the payment, because the card machine got disconnected and the staff could not figure out how to connect it back. I waited for around 10 minutes, in which time the drive thru queue grew by a lot.

When I repeatedly asked the staff how long is it going to take to fix it, they have completely ignored me. At the same time, they were more than happy to tell each other jokes, some of which were inappropriate.

I was almost ready to just drive off when they've told me that they fixed the card reader, so I paid for my meal. However, when I got to the next window to pick up my meal, I found out that they got my order wrong. When I told that to the manager, he told me, in a raised tone of voice, that he doesn't care, as this is what I was charged for.

There are other fast food places in my town with tastier food and much more professional staff. So it's quite unlikely that I will ever come back...

Update: no idea what has happened to this place. Staff look at you like you are putting them out when you ask for dips with a box of 20 nuggets. Had one portion of fries when I asked for two, wanted me to drive around again to queue and order the second pack. Service and attitude has become terrible, not just today but consistently over the last few months. Ignore the following, I will leave it as a comparison.

A few days ago I wrote a one star review of the drive through KFC in Bracknell. It didn't even deserve the one star, unfortunately Google doesn't allow negative stars for negative reviews (come on guys, 50p for a portion of sauce...no.)

This McDonalds is the absolute opposite of the local KFC. I ordered the Chicken Sharebox, Chicken Burger meal, and the BBQ Smokehouse chicken burger (guess which fast food chain I didn't go to!). Unfortunately, I drove off before they gave me the Chicken burger - I got home, realised I didn't have it and phoned them to see if I could come back and collect. I spoke to Jo, absolutely amazing customer service - I've had outstanding customer service before and this is among the best of them. I'm not going to go into details but this place has my business in future, to hell with KFC.

McDonalds, what's not to love, well everything is not to love at this branch. The first time I used this branch after moving to Bracknell in September the meal I got from here was fine, as I would have expected, so I gave 5 stars and my initial review was good. I have returned 4 times since then and all visits have been less than satisfactory. Twice the milkshake machines were out of order, once the meal was stone cold even though I only have a 5 minute drive home and the latest visit resulted in us being asked to wait in a bay and our meal would be brought out to us. We had to wait for 10 minutes during which time about a dozen cars collected their meals without having to wait. When the meal arrived I checked to make sure the chips were hot and then made my way home through the rush hour traffic. I had been given someone else's meal, completely different to my order even down to the wrong flavour shakes. I accept that mistakes are going to happen but they have only had a 20% success rate within the context of my visits. That is disgusting.
