Mela Indian Cuisine (Swindon) — Restaurant in England

This restaurant is running by fraud people. We have been twice at this restaurant and both the times there were difference in what they charged and what is priced in the menu. In the first instance, we thought of it as unintentional mistake which they acknowledged and corrected the bill.

Second time, we went for official team lunch. We were cautious and matched the bill. Again, there was difference in menu price and billed price. In the menu, it was initially GBP 9.45 for main non-paneer veg curry. They corrected it by pen in each menu to GBP 8.45 but they charged it in the bill as GBP 9.95. Similar thing happened with paneer curry. In menu, the price was GBP 10.45 but they charged it as GBP 10.95. Even after highlighting it, they denied to accept it rudely and said the billed prices are the latest one. It is purely unethical and case of fraud. We ordered 6 curries which were entitled for at least GBP 9 refund. I would never recommend this restaurant to someone. And, if someone really wants to visit it, please be careful of such...

Nice place to eat with a premium feel about it. Really friendly staff who are happy to guide you through the menu if you are struggling with the choice. Late closing means you can stay and have a good chat with friends. Food is well presented and is extremely tasty. The best tasting curry I've had in a long time. I do unfortunately have two small criticisms. I asked for an extremely hot vindaloo and was expecting it to be fairly hot since they use Naga chillies. When the food arrived I was disappointed as it wasn't hot at all. But at least it tasted great. The other thing to watch out for is the price of drinks. My two friends spent £43 just on lager which seemed to be very expensive. I wouldn't want this to put people off going to what I think is one of the best curry...

This used to be our favourite restaurant anywhere. We've stuck with them through good times and bad but this latest incarnation is just awful. We ordered Lamb Tikka Bhuna..got bland rubber in a bland sauce. Mushroom rice..tastiest thing but greasy. Saag Chana...wet and flavourless and quite frankly, nasty. Naans - ok, could have more flavour but light and we'd order again. Pappadums good. I'm beyond gutted at this decline. Please get your act back together- I've lost count of the number of people we've sent to your restaurant and I will be deeply ashamed if anyone listens to my historic...
