Mewar Haveli in Northampton offers an excellent ambience, complemented by exceptional service provided by Suresh and Krishna. Suresh's guidance on courses and spice levels enhanced the dining experience. Despite the challenge of resisting, the delectable offerings, including soft drinks, starters, main course, and appetizers, left a lasting impression. Starting from the pappadom and pickles, in Kerala we don't eat pappadom with pickles and I was wondering why they serve it like that. I had multiple bites anyway😅. Coming to starters The chicken and puri were highlights, surpassing expectations. However, the tandoori mushroom garlic disappointed with its overpowering raw garlic taste. The malai chicken was satisfactory, while the nan varieties, especially garlic nan and tomato garlic nan, stood out as delicious. The Haveli chicken provided the desired spiciness, but the lamb curry fell short of expectations, and the chicken BBQ tasted somewhat bland. A palate-cleansing touch with mango pulp during the meal was appreciated. Despite the quality, the restaurant leans towards the expensive side, and the portion sizes are relatively small. With limited parking at the rear, the establishment opens in the evening, offering a unique and flavorful dining experience, making it my second visit. Additionally, I couldn't resist capturing the visually appealing presentation of the dishes, although I regret not being able to take better pictures. The aesthetic appeal of the food added another layer to the overall dining experience at Mewar Haveli in Northampton. Despite some minor shortcomings, the culinary delights and charming ambiance make it a restaurant worth revisiting.

Situated adjacent to Corkers on the Wellingborough Road, this Indian restaurant is set out across one large pleasantly decorated room. Excellent service was apparent the moment we walked in with wait staff demonstrating the sort of attentiveness I haven't seen in a while. Shout out to Suresh, who was dressed in traditional Royal Rajasthan clothing. He was friendly, courteous and really looked after us. We decided on the set menu, where you get a sample of the most popular dishes, including starters and dessert, this was really enjoyable and tasty, with the meat being very tender and the plates beautifully presented. Price wise, it's certainly more expensive than most other Indian restaurants in the area; set menu for two plus a bottle of decent wine, and a JD and coke to open proceedings was just over £100. Will definitely return with friends.

Wow, finally we found the perfect Indian restaurant in Northampton, tired many but never hit the mark. Came here with family recently The food was hot, fresh and tasty. Most restaurants that claim to be Indian restaurant use the same type base sauce for all their different dishes but this one the dishes tasted different to each other. Very good vegetarian option also. My kids loved the tikka masala they gave it 10 out of 10 🥰. This is probably the best Indian restaurant we have been to in Northampton since moving from Southall, London 6 years ago which has a big Asian presence as lots of Indian restaurants. Staff were 1st class and attentive without being to overly bearing. Ample of parking at the back

We saw some good reviews on Google and didn’t want to go far for birthday dinner so we went here. The place was ok, but very dark, not good lighting. Service was the only thing good. That boy Sugam was really trying to make us feel nice. However, when we go out to eat Indian food, we want some delicious authentic Indian food, but we were utterly disappointed as it was not at all good. We somehow just ate that, paneer ka Sholay was too less quantity and so bland in taste, seemed stale. Samosa chaat was just ok. Kadhai paneer was I don’t know what kind of dish, it was the most pathetic paneer dish I had, not even close to actual Kadhai paneer. Naans were not freshly like naans should be. When the bill came I was shocked. We paid £70 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 raita and 2 naans, 3 drinks. We went for dinner at Jaamun in Brighton, the food was awesome, atmosphere was lovely, service was great. We ordered 3 starters, 2 mains, 3 drinks, desserts, raita, 3 naans (perfect butter naans) and paid only £60. And the name ofcourse, they have given this place a Rajasthani name, Mewar Haveli, but not one Rajasthani food option in the menu. And let me tell you that dress is more Pakistani and not Rajasthani. We were actually expecting to eat Rajasthani food when we saw the name. So so disappointed, please hire a good Indian cuisine chef 🙏🏻 You guys are serving North Indian food, restaurant name is Rajasthani. At least serve good North Indian food or add...

A place my Husband and I have visited quite a few times and can highly recommend!

From the moment we enter, the welcome is so warm and inviting and the service throughout is very good.

We have tried many different options on the varied menu, all have been satisfying and we could confidently choose any of them again. I even tried a vegan option and although I am not Vegetarian nor Vegan, I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this meal and did not miss meat.

The atmosphere is spacious and conversations and enjoyment are happening around you but it does not take away from your own experience.

So far I have been with my husband but would not be worried about going on my own; we have observed groups while there and the service interacton is the same.

For the high quality we receive, the cost is reasonable and is obviously dependent on how much food and drinks we order.

The staff are great and clearly want to ensure that we enjoy our food and time, they are helpful in guiding us with decisions on choosing different options. Having been a few times, the high standard is consistent, their interest and care is obvious and makes it an easy choice to return to and to recommend.

Thank you...
