Miss Millie’s – Chicken and Shakes — Restaurant in England

I ordered a burger meal and children's meal and was confirmed delivery within 40mins which I was most impressed with given the heat today. After waiting 1½ hours, I called the shop and was told there was no drivers but the lady who answered the phone said she would call the manager and call me straight back. After 10 mins, I called again and was told they were unable to deliver. I advised I would collect the order and requested it was fresh and hot. I collected the order (the shop was empty), no apology. On my return home, I found the chicken and chips were cold and the coleslaw warm. In addition, I stupidly bit into my fillet burger as I was so hungry, not a good idea as the lettuce was off, bread dry and chicken reddy pink and undercooked. I would advise that you should not go to this shop. The cost was £21.56 (£4.99 for delivery) and justeat sent a generic email to advise I will get a response in 48 hours. Just hope I don't get food...

I often go to miss Millie's when I come down to visit family used to be a regular when I worked in Bristol as often stopped off when on late shift with not much open. Food has always been a bit hit and miss. Never anything bad but just the portion sizes , or how dry the food is where its been sitting for a bit. Night times are always the worst and if you have had a drink or look like you have they are inclined to give you less or the older not so fresh stuff, have seen it and had it happen to me. Saying that still love a bun strip meal but the strips are the thing that is so hit and miss, often pays to say something up front about it in a joking way or check before you leave as often its to much messing to go back. There was a time when the food was quite good. Not anymore now. They don't have chipotle mayo? No problems! They put hot wings sauce! Result? A sour taste of vinegar, tomatoes and some hot brutal spice that changes totally the taste. Put it straight in the bin. Also, and this is the main issue, they prepare the food bare handed! Hey, we're in England! Some food safety? Gloves? Do you know what those are? Filthy looking bottles of mayo, ketchup and other things. You'll make sick an entire neighborhood! It seems that Miss Millie's bosses don't want to know about this. Probably this shop has to be seen by the Food Standards Agency. Probably I will make a complaint. It's a pity and shame they lost the control...
