In the valley of the blind the one eyed man is king. And as Maidenhead’s only japanese restaurant Miyazaki might not quite reach kingly status, but it is pretty princely. The service was friendly and the food is genuinely pretty good and the price is affordable and fair. I came in for a lunch after walking past it and although it is quite small it is cosy. The tables were mostly full (which is always a good sign) and the set lunches were all under £10. Everyone was trying the sushi set so obviously I tried something different and went for he chicken karaage set. For £7.50 it was pretty good value for money. A good amount of rice and chicken and an accompanying miso soup. The rice was cooked well and not too sticky, the chicken karaage style however was a little different to what I’ve tried before. Rather than just being deep fried and juicy, which is the way I prefer it, the chicken also had a slightly sweet teriyaki style sauce, which i wasn’t too keen on. Anyway you really can’t complain for the price and I left with a full belly for a fair price. They seemed to have a decent sake selection so I’ll be back and next time I’ll try the sushi that seemed to be everyone...

Usually go here for lunch and the deal they have on is fantastic- reasonably priced and excellent. This time we went for dinner as they have finally opened up their eat in service!!!

Edamame was really good - well seasoned and not overboiled The rice for sushi is cooked to perfection, not to cold. The sushi is held well together and the flavour and texture of the rice is just right The Aburi Salmon (one of my favourites) just melts in your mouth - wish they could serve just a platter of this dish! The crispy Salmon and Avocado rolls were incredible The chicken nanban was pretty interesting, don't think i will get it again but was quite unique/(ㄒoㄒ)/ The Kitsune Udon Noodle soup was top notch- the broth was well balanced, not too salty but surprisingly refreshing and sweet. The flavours had alot of depth. The tofu/beancurd was incredibly flavourful and sweet too and a nice springy bite.

Really kind and friendly service too- can't fault them! My new favourite place :^) Defo gonna visit here more often and become a...

This is a small restaurant, 5mins walk from Maidenhead station. Freshly made, authentic Japanese food. Not a huge menu, but quality is more than quantity right? We had the prawn tempura & avocado large sushi roll, grilled eel sushi, salmon sushi; chicken katsu curry & rice; chicken gyoza; and ebi fry. All good and freshly made. We also had a glass of sweet potato shochu each (2 of us), and my friend also had a bottle of beer. The whole bill was about £44.00, which is not bad at all.

Also have to make a special mention for the amazing service. You experience the real deal polite Japanese service. It was raining last night and we both had an umbrella, which we left on the floor. At some point in the evening, the staff popped them into a plastic bag without us even noticing.

We walked in at 7.30 on a wet Wednesday evening and it was almost packed. I would...
