I don't do this often at all but this was awful. I try to support independents over the chains but in Bourne end I can only suggest you use the Costa.

I had lunch with a friend. I ordered salad nicoise. Which should be with olive, egg, bacon, chicken and salad . This was none of that just iceberg lettuce chopped up with pieces of chicken and croutons swimming in dressing.

I didn't eat it and was asked when I asked for the bill why I hadn't eaten it and I told them it was awful. I didn't ask him to reduce the bill and neither was any attempt made to reduce or appease me. He just apologised and charged the full amount so I have to say I left feeling most disappointed and will not return. Moreover I am sufficiently motivated to tell the world how disappointed I am because they didn't take any steps to rectify.

My friend had cheese omelette and chips which she commented was unremarkable.

Maybe i was fooled by the name, nothing organic or genuine about this place. Scrambled “stuff” didnt look or taste like eggs…. Mushrooms sliced so thinly they didnt taste of mushroom… and worst of all.. old HP Sauce and Heinz ketchup bottles filled with vinegary substitutes….. couldnt be sure how long the “sauce” at the bottom of the bottle had been on display. A really cheap thing to do that says a lot about the pride the owners have about their service...

Went in on a hot afternoon for a cold drink. Service was very slow but they were working hard. I ordered a berry fruit smoothie. What I received had no ice in it, was not cold and was 50% froth! It was very unappetising but I was thirsty so I drank it. When I complained they told me they had sold hundreds that day! Not sure that really makes it right! They still charged me £5.40!
