We came across this lovely cafe by chance, and I'm so glad we did. Great selection of home- cooked food with very generous portions. I had home- made lasagne and chips, whilst my Mum had egg mayonnaise sandwhich, which was huge! ( and delicious) The staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend, we will definitely pop in again next time we are down thiswY

Very well run spot, great homecooked food full of flavour and amazing service from both the owner (at least I guess she is 😅) and the guys serving the tables. The place is small but atmosphere is cosy, menu has some for everyone and more. Not local to the area but I will deffo go back if I happen to be there again.

Stopped by here when working locally to the area as always wanted to try and was not disappointed! Great staff, great food and a lovely little cafe, good prices and the best signs on the wall which make it that bit different to most! Full English was pukka, the coffee was spot on!

It's not a case of why would you, more why shouldn't you.... I've just finished off the "big breakfast" (a steal at £6.60 including my coffee) and every bite was packed with quality flavours you would normally pay twice the price for. The sausage was plump and juicy, the bacon packed with flavour, the black pudding was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh, the egg was perfectly cooked with a wonderfully bright orange glow (clearly free range and very fresh), the bubble and squeak was perfectly seasoned, the tomato grilled to perfection, the toast......now this was the sticking point. I don't usually eat white bread, and felt odd not being given a choice when I ordered, but it was a lovely thick slice of the finest white bread I can honestly say I've ever tasted. The décor......it's a creation of the feel you get when you walk in the door - homely and personal. The blackboard hearts that cover the walls share anything from jokes to heartwarming messages. A true reflection of the love and passion that goes into making this place the best place you could ever need to go to for breakfast. No photos, as the food was just too good to stop and get a picture. It's no surprise Mums Cafe has such great reviews, I'm just annoyed I didn't...

We've visited Mum's Cafe on several occasions and taken visiting friends there to share the experience which we have enjoyed every time. It is quite small and because it is so popular you may have to wait for a table for 5 mins or so at lunch time. There are plenty of witty sayings written in chalk on little shaped black boards to read whilst you wait for a table or for your meal. The service is quick and the food portions generous and prices reasonable. There are gluten free options available. If you like your fried breakfasts this is the place for you! There are plenty of healthy options on the menu as well. They welcome well behaved dogs so this is the ideal choice of eatery if you have walked your doggies over St...

Lovely, bright, clean traditional style Cafe with a quirky twist. Cafe set on access road on busy road into and out of town. Easy access all round cafe to clean eating area and with a couple of tables outside. Decorating the walls are numerous boards with comical sayings on. Food is of good quality and there is something for everyone. Very warm welcome and it's obvious who Mum is. Food is prepared in clean see through kitchen and is reasonable priced andwell presented. Didn't see any facilities and no alcohol but you can't have everything. Cash only premises so leave your plastic behind. Definitely...
